ATTENDANCE 124

In atrocious conditions It was Tynecastle who had the advantage of the strong west to east wind . Broxburn had the first opportunity on five minutes when a ball through was held up with the wind and Gary Brass couldnt get a shot away as the visiting defence got back to clear his attempt . Tynecastle created a chance on 15 minutes when  a great ball across the six yard box found no takers for the visitors  and the ball went wide right for a bye kick . Three minutes later Joe Tait  turned and shot just wide left of the target . Gary Brass had an other chance on 23 minutes but it was blocked and cleared . Tait put a great ball across when racing clear but it was cut out before reaching two team mates on the edge of the box . Gordon Donaldson went on a good run into the box but his cut back was cut out and cleared .Shaun Harrison done well to head a ball for a corner from a ball put in from the right from a free kick  .Luke Kennedy tested Shaun Donoghue with a shot but the keeper saved comfortably . Ryan Cameron forced a great save from Donoghue as Tynecastle tried to get a goal before the break . Joe Tait with a minute left of the half was clear into the box and decided to cut the ball back to Newall who fired over when he could have shot himself . JOE TAIT made no mistake a minute later when a good ball in from the right was met by a volley from Gary Brass that crashed of the bar before Tait fired home from 7 yards .

The second half Liam Gray tried his luck with the wind at his back and forced Jamie Rae to tip over from thirty yards . Binnie was thwarted by the keeper who dived at his feet on 54 minutes . On the hour mark Brass sent Binnie through but he pulled his strike wide left .Broxburn doubled their lead a minute later when Craig Newall went on a great run down the right and put a superb ball into the path of JACKSON BARKER who turned the ball into the net .Broxburn were in control of the game and created more chances and Barker just failed to get his shot away on 79 minutes . Tynecastle were handed a life line in spectacular style when a ball played from the left to the back post it found the head of JACKSON BARKER who bulleted a header into his own net with five minutes remaining . He was caught unawares as the ball fired of his head . Straight from the kick off Liam Gray fired a shot goalwards but the back tracking Jamie Rae in the visitors goal got his fingers to it to tip over the bar . Broxburn  made sure of the points with the last kick of the ball when GREG BINNIE raced through on to a Newall through ball and as he ran into the box unchallenged he fired home .

A good , deserved three points and reward for a good performance by the side . We now travel to Tranent for a league match next Saturday with a 2-30pm kick off .
