FIXTURE UPDATE

With Camelon’s Scottish cup tie against Brora Rangers being postponed again at Dunipace’s all weather park tonight (Wednesday ) they will now try and get it played on Saturday . This leaves LothianthistleHV able to travel to Broxburn to play a rearranged Premier league match at 2-30pm on Saturday the 9th of January . This game will be streamed free of charge live  , details on social media  in next couple of days . Even this early though unfortunately the park is frozen solid and with the forecast not to get much better next couple of days it could be scuppered by the weather . We will monitor the situation and keep everybody updated .

Linlithgow Rose v Broxburn Athletic

Tomorrows game at Linlithgow is postponed due to frozen park . With the forecast not to improve we agreed to the early call off . The forecast for the month of January is not good with freezing temperatures the norm for the month . NAIRN V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Very disappointing way to go out of the Scottish cup after all the effort the boys put in to the game . having seen SFA camera highlights of the game still puzzled as to why our goal in extra time was ruled out because of a foul on the keeper who the referee says had both hands on the ball ?  . We need to put it behind us and treat our injured players back to recovery . Gary Brass has not broke his ankle as first thought but has damaged ankle ligaments and will be out for some time . Conner Wallace has damaged soft ligament tissue in his hip area after his hip popped out and back in as he kicked a ball up the park .Christopher Townsley has pulled a muscle in his thigh .Just a big thanks out to Ronnie Alexander who waited with the secretary to get our two hospitalised players home allowing the team bus to head for home . Also Graeme who came up to Kinross from Broxburn to take us on our final part of the trip home allowing Ronnie to get home in Fife a bit quicker , thank you so much appreciated . So  not a good day at the office but can not have asked for anymore from every single one of the players ,they done the town and club proud and we will be back again for more next season . Meanwhile we turn our thoughts to  league business with a away match to local rivals Linlithgow Rose on Sunday the 3rd of January  with a 2-30pm kick off .The big games keep coming and we would not want it any other way .

GAVIN GRANT

Gavin Grant , who has been on the transfer list since the beginning of the season , has joined Easthouse’s Lily . We wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his service to the club in his stay here .

MERRY CHRISTMAS

With Christmas almost over , we hope you had a good time no matter what you have done to  celebrate today . We now turn our thoughts to the Scottish Cup first round at Nairn which all looks good to go after message from the north this evening . The players are focused and determined to get through this tie after curtailing their celebrations today  in preparation . We hope their celebrations are only delayed 24 hours . The game will be streamed by a company for Nairn County as per SFA rules it has to be by pay per vue  the link is on our Twitter page and Nairn County’s . Enjoy the game and we hope the journey home will be a joyous one and not a long one . Merry Christmas Stay Safe and BACK THE BURN

FESTIVE PERIOD UPDATES

With Musselburgh Athletic scheduled to play Wick on Saturday 19th our Premier league match at Olive bank is postponed . We will now concentrate on the Scottish Cup First Round ourselves with a training session on Saturday and another on Wednesday before we travel to Nairn County on Boxing Day for a 3pm kick off . We had hoped to change the date of this tie by 24 hours but player availability was an issue for the opponents .  If the game is postponed next Saturday we are scheduled to travel on the Wednesday the 30th December to play the tie with a 7.30pm kick off . All being well and one of these dates is successful we were due to play Linlithgow Rose at Prestonfield Linlithgow on Saturday the 2nd of January 2021 .This has been moved back 24 hours and will now be played on Sunday the 3rd of January with a 2-30pm kick off .  Incidentally Musselburgh Athletic are now due to play Wick at Wick on Monday after their match was postponed for the third time .
