The run continues yet another away tie this time in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup 1st Round . We have been drawn away to Renfrew from the West Division of the Lowland League . This tie will be scheduled for Saturday the 3rd of October with a 3pm kick off . More information nearer the time will be published here and on our social media pages  .

There is some cracking ties even at this stage and the full draw as follows including Linlithgow Rose v Clydebank , Cumnock v Auchinlleck  .

What a great weekend for “the Brox ” . Firstly the under20’s went to Bonnyrigg and won 3-2 in waht was a great game to watch  , Caelan Arthurs opened the scoring on 40 minutes  with Bonnyrigg Rose hitting back with an equaliser a minute later through Scott Walker . The second half saw the hosts take the lead through Jack Hancock on the hour mark .  Broxburn battled back and equalised on 69 minutes through Rory Smith . Alexander Morris  got the winner on 90 minutes to the delight of the full squad .

The seniors travelled to Boness United and were 1-0 up at the break through a last minute strike from Sam Jones . Despite having Daniel Irving being sent off on 53 minutes for use of an elbow they got a equaliser on 76 minutes through Thomas Grant . Broxburn were not to be out done and Matty McDonald , who had just come on the park fired home a winner on 84 minutes . A satisfactory day at the office on all fronts .

With both Broxburn Athletic and Tranent being knocked out the South Challenge Cup last Saturday , both clubs contacted each other to rearrange until the Saturday the 10th of October from the Tuesday the 15th of September the Lowland League match . The Lowland League Board agreed to the request at board meeting on Monday . Hospitality is available for this match.

The Young Brox put in a competent display to progress into the second round of the development League cup .  A goal in added on time from Caelan Arthurs  sent us in at the break 1-0 up . The second half saw Joel Sneddon get Boness United  on level terms on 51 Minutes . But goals from ex Boness Lucas McConaghy on 61 minutes and a second from Caelan Arthurs on 67 minutes sealed the win . Overall another stepping stone in the development of these young players and their reward is a trip to Auchinleck Talbot in the second round on Friday October the 9th .

We would like to thank everyone who comes along to support the boys and hope you are well enough entertained with the football on show , it is much appreciated  by all involved with the Under 20’s .

Two big games for THE BROX this weekend  starting on Friday evening 4th September when the Under 20’s take on Boness United in the development League Cup first round at the  Albyn Park with a 8-15pm kick off . Only £2 entry so come along and support the Young Brox . On the Saturday the Seniors take the short journey to Linlithgow to play Linlithgow Rose  in the second round of the South Challenge Cup with a 3-00pm kick off . All details for the Linlithgow Rose game will be on our socials  Hope to see you over the weekend at the games .

The Broxburn Athletic Under 20’s played their second development league match at the Albyn Park last Friday and were unfortunate to be on the end of a narrow 3-2 defeat to East Fife  . Caelan Arthurs  scoring both goals on 36 m and 90+3 m for the young Burn , with East Fife scoring through Robbie Anderson on 44m and 79m with Kebba Bah opening the scoring on 32m  , Once again chances were created but not taken but over all a side beginning to gel together as a team and lots of positive’s to take away from this match . Next Friday the 21st of August we travel to the border’s for a game at Netherdale to play Gala Fairydean Rovers Under 20’s with a 8-00pm kick off  . We appreciate all the spectators for turning out to support the boy’s . All the development team’s home games will be £2 admission to help cover costs of officials and pitch hire . All donations and support are much welcomed and appreciated thank you .

Broxburn Athletic under 20’s got of to a good start last Friday when drawing 1-1 at Tranent . The boys played well and were unlucky to only come home with one point.  The  20’s play on a Friday night and are at home this Friday to East Fife with a kickoff 8pm . The rest of August is as follows
