SCOTTISH CUP FIRST ROUND DRAW

Another long trip in the Scottish Cup First round drawn away to Nairn County Football Club . This tie is scheduled for Saturday 26th of December (boxing day) . Another long haul but would not have it any other way than being in this cup .

NEWTON STEWART V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Here we go hopefully the beginning of another memorable Scottish cup run . With all that is happened since the St Mirren game it seems like a life time away but hopefully today see’s the start of more wonderful memories for the club and , although for now , absent supporter’s to take forward . We will keep you up dated by our twitter and facebook social media pages .Stay Safe and warm .

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V CROSSGATES

At the end of the match I was speechless up 4-1 and in control saved a penalty and still Crossgates go home with all three points .Very disappointing ,everybody is . With the Scottish Cup campaign kicking off next Saturday it could not come at a better time for lifting the players after a result like that . Full credit to Crossgates who punished us but we need to get on a run of results and get our confidence back and what a better way to start with next week’s cup tie .

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V CROSSGATES PRIMROSE

With the weather being horrendous over the past 48 hours it is no surprise that games are being postponed and only nine games at this time remain including the game at the Albyn park . This game will be streamed live on our you tube channel so stay in doors and sit back and enjoy the action . Remember the optional donation button should you wish to help club funds ,otherwise this is a free service to keep our community and that of our visitors in touch with the game during these tough times . The game kicks off at 2-30pm .

SCOTT RICHARDS

Scott Richards has left the club at his own request as he endeavours to get more game time . We wish Scott all the best for the future and thank him for his efforts while at the club .

LOTHIANTHISTLEHV v BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Was a disappointing night drawing at rain soaked Saughton enclosure .With heavy going and torrential rain it was a credit to both sides to play through tough conditions . Having gone 1-0 down which was the score at the break . We came out the second half and raced to a 3-1 lead only to lose two goals in the last five minutes to share the spoils . Crossgates at home on Saturday and we will endeavour to bag the three points . Check social media for streaming details .

PLAYER UPDATE

Here is a update of players status , Jordan Hopkinson has left the club with immediate effect by mutual consent . Gavin Grant has been transferred to Easthouse’s Lily after being on the list since the start of the season . We wish both players all the best for the future and thank them for their efforts at Broxburn Athletic .

SAUCHIE V BROXBURN ATH

Very disappointing not to follow up Tuesday’s win at Dunbar with a win today at Sauchie . Thought the game was going to be a 0-0 stalemate before we lost two late goals, no excuses we move on to next fixture . We move on now to Wednesday evening when we go into Edinburgh to play LothianthistleHV in the rearranged league match already postponed two times . We follow that up with a home game against  Crossgates next Saturday before we start our Scottish Cup Campaign a week on Saturday away to Newton Stewart . Unfortunately we can not stream Wednesday’s match but will be streaming the two games after that so tune in and enjoy .We will keep you posted on social media events at Saughton Enclosure on Wednesday .

BROXBURN ATH V IRVINE MEADOW

Disappointed to be knocked out the cup today with a 3-0 defeat off Irvine Meadow . Losing Gordon Donaldson early doors to injury was a blow and we hope he is quick to recover . We will need to put the recent run of games behind us as we head to Dunbar United on Tuesday to play in the League and hopefully come away with the three points

JEANFIELD SWIFTS V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Disappointing night last night and Saturday seems a while away but we will regroup and be ready to return to the form we have shown in recent games . Saturday’s kick off has been brought forward due to floodlight problems at Jeanfield , the kick off will be 1-30pm
