UP COMING GAMES AND NEWS FROM THE BROX

A programme of friendlies have been arranged with the first against Craigshill amatuers on Saturday the 18th of July at home with a 2pm kick off .On Wednesday the 22nd of July we are away to Spartans with a 7.45pm kick off .On Saturday the 25th of July we travel away to Blantyre Vics with a 2pm kick off . On Wednesday the 29th of July we play Pumpherston away from home with a 7.15pm kick off .Saturday the 1st of August we are away to Armadale Thistle with a 2.30pm kick off . The League programme will kick off on Saturday the 8th of August with the following two midweeks having fixture’s for Superleague and Premier league only .

Broxburn Athletic have been drawn at home in the first round of the DJ Laing East of Scotland cup against holders Hill of Beath Hawthorn with a date yet to be decided.

REVIEW OF SEASON 2014/2015 WINNERS AND LOSERS

The McBookie Superleague was won by Kelty Hearts who led for most of the season . Lochee United and Armadale Thistle were relegated the later after a play off . The McBookie Premier league was won by Tayport with St Andrews getting promoted by finishing second .Broughty Athletic who finished third gained promotion by winning the two leg play off .Glenrothes ,Dundee North End and Kinnoul were relegated to the McBookie North League . Haddington won the McBookie South league and will be joined in the Premier league with Falkirk . The McBookie North league is yet to be confirmed with Downfield having a second appeal, this time to the S.F.A. after the S.J.F.A. dismissed their appeal last week regarding points deduction for fielding an ineligible player . Thornton Hibs will definitely be promoted no matter the result of the appeal with either Downfield or Kennoway Hearts getting the other promotion spot .Due to three teams from the North league getting relegated from the Premier an adjustment had to be made and Kirkcaldy Y.M. will now play in the McBookie South league to level up the leagues .

PUMPHERSTON FRIENDLY

Due to Sadie McWilliams and family being unavailable in July due to family commitments the match At Pumpherston will now take place on Wednesday the 29th of July will be a friendly match between the two clubs . The “Gunner McWilliams ” memorial match will now be played every two seasons as requested by Sadie McWilliams.

Sauchie secured a Fife & Lothians cup final spot against Camelon next Saturday 13th June at Creamery park Bathgate with an emphatic 4-1 win at home to Linlithgow Rose in the replayed match that was postponed on Monday evening due to heavy rain . Hill of Beath beat Boness United  in the DJ Laing East of Scotland cup final at Oakley on penalties 4-2 after a wind spoiled  0-0 draw at ninety minutes . Armadale Thistle take a one goal advantage into the second leg of the Superleague play off after winning 2-1 at Broughty Athletic .The second leg will be on Wednesday evening at Volunteer park Armadale with a 7-30pm kick off

Armadale are due to play Broughty in a two leg play off after Carnoustie Panmure climbed above them with a 4-1 win over Camelon .These are scheduled to be played starting this Saturday but may yet be a twist watch this space . Boness will play Hill of Beath on Saturday at Oakley United  in the final of the DJ Laing East of Scotland cup with a 2-30pm kick off .
