DISAPOINTING END TO PRE SEASON FIXTURES

Broxburn Lost 4-2 to Armadale Thistle in the last of a satisfactory pre season fixture list . Up 2-0 at half time through goals from Kieron Anderson and Alexander Miller they lost four goals in the second half from David Taylor ,Liam Gray , Darren Dalrymple and Andrew Thomson sealed an impressive come back .Not the best to sign off with but that’s what these games are for and the real deal starts next week at Penicuik .

ARMADALE FRIENDLY SWITCHED

Broxburn Athletic’s friendly with Armadale thistle has been switched to the Albyn park with a 2-30pm due to flooding at the Volunteer park home of Armadale Thistle (oh for summer football ) . £2  & £1 at the gate

BROXBURN GO NAP AGAINST NEIGHBOURS

Broxburn ran out 5-1 winners in this local derby friendly .Pumpherston had chances but failed to take them with the sides level 1-1 at half time with goals from Anderson and a reply from the visitors McGlauchlan .The second half saw a mass of substitutes on the hour mark and it was Broxburn who went on to win with further goals from Hastings ,Richards and two unfortunate own goals completed the scoring .

PUMPHERSTON FRIENDLY SWITCHED

Wednesday’s friendly with Pumpherston has been switched from Pumpherston to Broxburn’s Albyn Park with a new kick off time of 8pm due to the weather .

BROX HIT VICS FOR SIX

Broxburn travelled to Blantyre Vics today and turned in a impressive performance  to run away a 6-1 win . A hat trick from Fraser Keast with goals from Paul McQuade ,Craig Young (pen) and Calum Rarity blew the home side out the water with their display of fast flowing football in heavy wet conditions .

BROXBURN LOOSE TO LEITH

Broxburn lost 3-1 at home to Leith Ath  .The Edinburgh side had a two goal advantage at half time . ” THE BROX” got one back in the second half before loosing a late goal to finish the scoring . With a bit more luck it could have went the other way but at the end of the day this is all about getting match fit and hopefully come season kick off we will be ready for the challenges ahead .

BROXBURN START FRIENDLY SEASON WELL

Broxburn athletic had an impressive 7-2 win over last seasons Scottish amatuers cup finalist Craigshill with new signing Anderson scoring five overall a satisfactory display and one to build on
