The first opportunity came on 4 minutes when a Nicholas Locke ball into the box was cleared out as far as Craig Scott who shot just over the bar . Four minutes late A Locke effort was tipped over the bar . The same player a minute later saw an effort from 30yards out go wide left of the target . The visitors had a chance on ten minutes when Scott Russell forced Connor Wallace to save turning the ball past his left hand post for a corner . The opening goal came after 11 minutes when SCOTT RICHARDS got the ball on the left hand side of the box and played a ball across the box which deceived everyone and found the far bottom corner of the net . A minute later the scoreline was doubled when Richards floated a ball into the heart of the penalty area where GREG BINNIE was totally unmarked and he guided his header into the top left hand corner of the net . Scott Richards should have scored a minute later but saw his effort saved . On fifteen minutes Craig Scott saw an effort well saved . It was Nicholas Locke’s turn a minute later to be denied by Adam Shaw in the visitors goal . The third goal did come half way through the half when Binnie got the ball on the right of the box and laid it off to CRAIG SCOTT just inside the  box and he guided it into the far left bottom corner . Locke set up Connor Kelly on 28 minutes when he put the striker in on goal but the defender cleared for a corner . When the corner came in it was cleared to outside the box where Scott fired just over the bar . It was 4-0 after 33 minutes when Greg Binnie sent a fierce cross along the ground into the box and was met by SCOTT RICHARDS six yards out to turn the ball home . On 40 minutes Ryan Cowie fired a free kick from just outside the box past the right hand post . Broxburn went nap with three minutes left of the half when great play into the box was cleared out to CRAIG SCOTT who fired a rocket in off the bar giving Shaw no chance .

Three minutes into the second half Broxburn had a chance cleared of the line . Nihai Bogatu had a chance on the right hand side of the box but his attempt was deflected for a corner by Jack Beasley . On the hour mark Conor Kelly ran with the ball across the box shepherded by a defender who eventually cleared for a throw in .  Inverkeithing had a succession of corner’s on the 63 minute mark . Craig Scott had another shot from 20 yards out sail over the bar on 65 minutes . Greg Binnie saw a shot go wide right of the target on 73 minutes . Kelly thought he had got the elusive goal but his attempt was blocked and cleared . A minute later Binnie was disappointed when a ball in from the left found him in front of goals but he turned the ball wide left from six yards out . Two chances in the last few minutes when balls into the box seemed to bounce of everybody and block the goal all though afterwards the visiting keeper did confess he clawed a ball from over the line back into play that the officials did not pick up on . .Good performance first half bit disappointing the second half but we move on to Saturdays home game against Heriot Watt University with a 2-30pm kick off .
