Penicuik v Broxburn Ath

Very disappointing today going out at the first time of asking in the Fife and Lothians Down 1-0 then got on level terms with a Kieran Anderson free kick thinking we would go in at the break on level terms but lost a sloppy goal two minutes later to make the half time scoreline 2-1 to our hosts .we came out the second half and started well but then lost our way and three goals later were down and out with only a consolation Jack Beasley penalty score to make the final score 5-2 . Not good as cup form last season was terrific now out of our two local cups with only the Scottish cup to look forward to, to keep the interest

Broughty Ath v Broxburn Ath

A point away from home would be acceptable some times but this game could have been won at half time with umpteen opportunities thwarted by the home keeper Iain Ross in inspiring form .It was a surprise to all watching that the home side were 2-0 up at half time through a deflected effort from new signing Chris Liversedge and Stuart McConnachie . A second half fight back came with goals from Kieron Anderson and a penalty, after Alexander Miller had be fouled in the box ,which Jack Beasley blasted home was enough to share the points .Both sides may have a case for saying they should have won but for any neutrals at the game this was a thoroughly entertaining match between two sides going for the three points .
