INVERKEITHING HILLFIELD SWIFTS V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Today we travel to Inverkeithing for the first time in a very important game in our quest to win the league . Despite the difference in league position’s we will not under estimate the tough challenge ahead .Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts  have improved in their first season as a senior side and will be tough to beat on their own patch .The players would appreciate your support today and they will endeavour to keep our place at the top of the league .Hope to see you there .

KEYDRAW RESULT

This week’s key draw was won by John Wood c/o The Masonic Arms who won £50 . Unfortunately he did not pick the correct key to open the jackpot box and next week’s draw on Sunday the 10th of February will have a jackpot of £350 with 20 keys to pick from to open the jackpot box .

Our new social media page is now up and running. As opposed to the old one which is Broxburn Athletic Football Club. This one is Broxburn Athletic FC. We hope you continue to follow us and like the improvements on the new site especially on match days  The old site will be open for a time to allow the transition. Remember the change of name .

BROXBURN V DUNIPACE GAME OFF

Today’s King Cup first round at home to Dunipace has been postponed due to frozen snow on the park .This game will be rearranged in due course .

BURNS PRE MATCH LUNCH SUCCESS

Last week’s pre match Burns lunch was a huge success with 64 supporter’s enjoying the food and entertainment that was provided .All the feedback was positive and we will be looking for further themed Idea’s to have regular functions of this sort .A big thank you to Alan Baff who entertained  the attendee’s

Also a big thanks goes out to all the girls who helped make the event go smoothly and continue to work hard at every home game to make the upstairs experience a  great success

 

KEY DRAW JACKPOT WON

This week’s key Draw was won by Mark Ledgerwood c/o The Greentree  who won the weekly £50 prize and picked the right key to open the jackpot box which gave him the jackpot of £1250 as well .Congratulations to Mark  on his windfall . Next Sunday’s draw will have a jackpot of £300 and 21 keys to pick from to open the jackpot box . Next draw will be on Sunday the 3rd of February .

BROXBURN ATH V PRESTON ATHLETIC

A stuffy game with both sides missing opportunities to score but another three points is welcome from what is a difficult fixture .A first half header from Alexander Miller and a second half Header from Saul Duffy sealed three points to keep us at the top with all four sides at the top continuing to win today . RABBIE BURNS PRE MATCH LUNCH

Prior to today’s match with Preston Athletic we will be holding a pre match Rabbie Burns lunch with traditional food and entertainment which starts at 1-00pm . This will be held in the big hall upstairs , if you have not booked your place you can still go upstairs but tables will be reserved for food etc . The bar will be open as all ways prior too ,at half time and after the match for a little while as their is also the community clubs annual Haggis Bash on this evening and the hall will need to be prepared for that event .

EDINBURGH UNITED V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Not the best performance of the season but three points is three points .Down 1-0 at half time and out of sorts it did not look good but an improved second half saw us get a 3-1 win with goals from Gordon Donaldson and two from Alexander Miller answered Edinburgh’s first half counter from James Redpath . We move on to next Saturday now with another league match against Preston Athletic with a 2-30pm kick off .Or if you have booked for the Haggis Lunch it starts at 1-00pm  place’s are still available for the lunch priced at £10 which includes entry to the game ,Tatties and Haggis , a drink of your choice and entertainment with a comedian and traditional Rabbie  Burns singer .(full report on game on website under matches )
