On Tuesday the 15th of November we have arranged a friendly with Edinburgh South at the Albyn Park with an 8pm kick off . This will give much needed game time to players on the verge of returning to fitness after long lay offs . The Keydraw will be brought forward to 6pm that night and will be live on our facebook page
This week’s Keydraw was won by Iain Fairlie from Uphall Station who collected £50 as Stephen Stuart who made the draw failed to pick the correct key to open the jackpot box . Next week’s draw will have a jackpot of £650 with 14 keys left to pick from to open the jackpot box . The next draw will be on Tuesday the 15th November at the earlier time of 6pm due to a friendly against Edinburgh South at the Albyn Park that night with a 8pm kick off and will be live on our Facebook page . The players got together and bought Lucas a replica tracksuit the same as the players wear going to games. They presented this to him prior to Saturday’s match with Crossgates .Lucas was more than delighted with the gift and he and his family very appreciative.
It gave us great pleasure to present our oldest surviving player with a complimentary season ticket for the season ahead as part of our 75th anniversary celebrations and who better to present James Hughes with that ticket but the youngest player on our books Jack Sayers (17) who is also a local boy. James played for the BROX from 1953 making his debut in the Coronation Cup and played a magnificent 10 seasons for us. He also remembers going to the first match Broxburn Athletic played on reform in 1947 going along with another Broxburn Character Sam Johnson. We wish James the best of health and long may he continue to come up to the Albyn and continue his support for many years to come, thanks for your service and continued support of the club.
