Kevin MacDonald has decided to give up playing football after snapping his cruciate ligament during last week’s game at Sauchie .It is very disappointing for “Geordie” who was beginning to show how good a player he is and will be a big loss to the club as will football out of his life will be .We hope he has a speedy recovery and he is successful in the future whatever he has in store .
Boness United went top of the league after their 1-0 home win over ourselves .Bonnyrigg bounced back from their disappointing Scottish cup exit by beating Musselburgh Athletic 3-0 at Olive bank . Linlithgow are not having much luck on their travels with their game at St Andrews being put off 15 minutes before kick off .Carnoustie just failed at home to Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish junior cup going down 3-2 at home .Tranent consolidated their position at the top of the South district league with a 2-0 win over Lochgelly Albert in the only game to beat the weather in the south league ahead of next weeks table top clash with Blackburn United at Blackburn .
