BROXBURN ATH V CROSSGATES PRIMROSE

A tough encounter was expected and the game did not let anybody down again this had everything sending off’s , penalty good goals and goal mouth scrambles all for a paltry sum . Broxburn took the lead in 6 minutes through Ross Allum  Fin Graham equalised before the visitors keeper ,Sean Robertson brutally brought down Greg Binnie a yard out side the box the keeper was shown red . Greg Nicol followed him 15 minutes later on 32 minutes for a bad foul  With the sides level on the park it was the visitors that took a half time lead through  Lewis Sawers .Broxburn turned the game round half way through the second half when first Ross Allum whos attempt was over the line before the other two attempts were denied as Binnie made sure . The officials gave the goal to original attempt  which was hotly debated by the players in a friendly way . A minute later Ross Allum was brought down in the box and the assistant gave the decision immediately  Cammie Ross stepped up and gave Shaun Hunter in the visitors goal no chance . A hard fought encounter that we just edged as we now prepare for our trip to Dunbar United next week in the Scottish F.A. Cup preliminary round .Tickets are on sale through Dunbar United’s fanbase site .

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V HILL of BEATH

A good win to keep our good form going with first half goals from Greg Binnie and Jackson Barker was followed in the second half with double from Ross Allum to seal the points . A significant milestone was reached and he would have been pleased to have added to his 32 shut outs in his 150th game for the club , that of course being Connor Wallace who now has 33 shut outs from 150 games . The club made a presentation to him prior to kick off to show our appreciation of his service’s .( the total is of official games )

BLACKBURN UTD V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Well we keep on saying it box office at Premier League matches for as little as £3  or £7 doesn’t come better than this . Six goals sandwiched between controversial penalties and goals and to cap it all off just when you thought the game was going to peter out , not likely . The referee did well only to send two off the field of play after a melee with five minutes remaining . The hosts took the lead after 14 minutes when Martin Lawrie scored from the spot . Broxburn took a half time lead through Ross Allum and David Greenhill . An early Cameron Ross goal in the second half was followed by a controversial penalty with the referee consulting his assistant who originally had not indicated any thing wrong , giving the spot kick with Martin Lawrie  scoring again from the spot . Goal of the game came in 80 mins when great one two’s carved open the home defence before Cammie Ross despatched the ball into the back of the net . After the melee there was more red when two goal hero for the home side received a second yellow card after stopping another Cammie Ross run towards goal . We now concentrate on Wednesday’s home match against Hill of Beath in the Premier League  with a 7.30pm kick off .

SCOTTISH CUP DRAW

WHITEHILL WELFARE V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Another excellent performance from the team tonight with goals from Liam Ireland , Greg Binnie and Cameron Ross answering a first half  opener from the hosts by Robert McKenzie . With players not getting a decent break and games coming thick and fast it is tribute to the full squad that they are stepping up to the plate and producing performances like tonight’s . Well done to all and keep up the good work the supporter’s appreciate the efforts being put in . We now concentrate on Saturday’s League match at Blackburn where we will be looking to keep up the good run .

KEYDRAW RESULT

TYNECASTLE V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Going into this game we had to call on all our resources to get a result . The players did the colours well . Injuries are crippling us but the strength we have in depth has seen us through the past couple of weeks .The squad are raising the bar for their team mates to meet as competition will become fierce when all fit .  Another returnee , Gordon Donaldson made captain for the game put in a captain’s performance receiving the man of the match award  With goals from Ross Allum and Cammie Ross settling the game with Taylor Hendry getting one back before the break for the hosts . Broxburn could have added more to the score line had some of their many second half chances been turned in , but three points away from home in this league are very grateful . We now patch ourselves up and prepare for quick return to play on Tuesday evening away to Whitehill Welfare this time in the East of Scotland Qualifying cup 1st round with a 7.30pm kick off
