Results and News from the east region 22nd Oct
With the Scottish junior cup second round being played there were only two Superleagues games on in the region with both ending in scoring draws ,Camelon 3 Dundonald 3 and Broxburn 1 Newtongrange 1 .In the North District league Thornton Hibs took advantage at home, the only game on in the league, to beat East Craigie 2-0 to go second in the league two points behind Blairgowrie with a game in hand .In the William Hill Scottish Cup Bonnyrigg Rose had a fine 2-1 win at home to Cove Rangers and will go into the hat with the bigger clubs in the third round . Linlithgow Rose could not get past Stirling Albion at home going out the cup 3-0 .
BROXBURN ATH V NEWTONGRANGE STAR
Not our best performance of the season with chances not being taken and allowing Newtongrange to get into the game after starting so well .They opened the scoring on 44 minutes with a deflected Kyle Lander goal and Ross Nimmo scored a wonder strike on 64 minutes to share the points .Better performance will be needed at Penicuik next week if we are to continue our good away form .( Full report in matches and fixtures )

DUNDONALD BLUEBELL V BROXBURN ATH
What a game at Moorside Park today eleven goals three penalties(one saved ) and wood work hit .value for money you wont get anywhere else. Dundonald opened the scoring after a minute then Richards equalised Dundonald regained the lead after 15 minutes but we equalised through Locke five minutes later .Nick saw his penalty saved on the half hour mark but we went in at half time 4-2 up with goals from Scott and Miller .Dundonald pulled one back at the start of the second half .We quickly took control again on 55 minutes with Zander Millers second then his hat trick on the 71st minute . Dundonald fought back with goals on 73 minutes and 85 minutes but Broxburn’s walking wounded held out for a good three points ( full report in matches asap )

RACE NIGHT
Broxburn are having a race night at our new facility at the Albyn Park on Saturday the 26th of November with a 7-30pm start . Committee are currently selling horses at £3 each and Jockeys also at £3 and are looking for race sponsors for the night .Tickets will be on sale shortly at £3 each to cover food on the night .Get involved they are great nights out and you will be helping the club tremendously .
