BROXBURN ATH V CROSSGATES

A tough encounter was expected and a tough encounter is what we got . With a shuffled squad it was good to come back from a goal down .Goals from Nicholas Locke and Jack Beesley put us in front before the fifers equalised .The winner came from the head of Alexander Miller .A mention for Conor Wallace who’s fantastic save in the dying embers made sure we got full points from the game

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V CROSSGATES

A tough encounter is what we expected and a tough encounter is what we got .It was good to shuffle the squad and it paid off over the ninety minutes .Going 1-0 down was disappointing but to come back and take the lead through Jack Beesley and Nicholas Locke was pleasing .Even after their equaliser to make it 2-2 we fought hard and got our rewards with a fine header from Alexander Miller . A special mention to Connor Wallace who pulled of another excellent save in the dying embers of the game to keep us in front.

POST MATCH ST MIRREN

Now had time to sink in the events of our epic journey in the William Hill Scottish Cup it is with reflection that we look back on the achievements with pride . The team did the town proud and maybe some would criticise the backs to the wall tactics but we are talking about a premier league club ,full time and desperate for no slip ups .A full first team line up against us showing us some respect .To open up against such opposition would have probably resulted in a score line that would make you cry( as a journalist in the Scotsman said) . Very proud of all involved as they gave their all .Would like to thank the vast majority of supporter’s who gave us terrific backing for the full game .Just a pity we now face an enquiry because of a few at the SFA and police Scotland, what were you thinking about . Overall a great day for the club and town and hope we have gave you memories to last a while .Thanks also to all the people young and old who sent messages  before and after the game from near and far  they are all well received and appreciated .We now move on and look to create more memorable times in the days, weeks , months and years to come .Hope you join us and we can grow even further as a club .
