LINLITHGOW ROSE V BROXBURN ATH

We can only apologise for the late call off of our match at Linlithgow Rose . Despite our opponents efforts to field a team and put the match on , further positive results of covid were realised and in the interest of everybody’s safety it was agreed to postpone the match . They had all ready lost a fixture during the week and were determined to field a make shift side this weekend but Covid has got a grip of the club and were advised and we agreed that the best move was for a cancellation . Covid has not gone away and the restrictions in place are for a reason , to keep everybody as safe as possible . Please follow the protocols in place and stay safe .

  1. do not attend a match if you have any symptoms .
  2. take a precautionary lateral flow test before arrival at a football stadium
  3. ensure that mandatory regulations are followed when travelling to and from the stadium (car, train, supporter’s bus etc)with particular attention to the wearing of face coverings .
  4. keep a safe distance when entering and leaving the stadium
  5. wear a face covering when entering and leaving the stadium
  6.  ensure that mandatory regulations are followed when using hospitality facilities in the stadium
  7. we thank you for your ongoing commitment to the guidance , regulations and protocols and for your help in reinforcing the measures we hope will be heeded and ensure we can all continue to enjoy the game we love .          The SFA are to have a meeting this week to discuss with the government the next steps forward and we will let you all know the outcome of these meetings as soon as we are informed . In the meantime stay safe

DUNBAR V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

Very disappointed to be eliminated from the Scottish cup before it has begun . With a depleted squad we were still confident of overturning the result previously in the league match . We were punished for our errors and did not punish them when the opportunity arose and the game could have been oh so different .As it is we are out and wish Pamela Munro and all associated with Dunbar United all the best in the draw today as we lick our wounds and patch up our injured in preparation for next week’s game at Linlithgow Rose in the Premier League

KEYDRAW WINNER

The keydraw was won by Tam Rutherford who collected £50 as George Sives who made the draw failed to pick the correct key to open the jackpot box . Next week’s draw on Sunday the 29th of August will have a jackpot of  £600 and 15 keys left to open the jackpot box and will be live on our facebook page at 5pm . We thank George for taking time out to make the draw .

BROXBURN ATH V CROSSGATES PRIMROSE

A tough encounter was expected and the game did not let anybody down again this had everything sending off’s , penalty good goals and goal mouth scrambles all for a paltry sum . Broxburn took the lead in 6 minutes through Ross Allum  Fin Graham equalised before the visitors keeper ,Sean Robertson brutally brought down Greg Binnie a yard out side the box the keeper was shown red . Greg Nicol followed him 15 minutes later on 32 minutes for a bad foul  With the sides level on the park it was the visitors that took a half time lead through  Lewis Sawers .Broxburn turned the game round half way through the second half when first Ross Allum whos attempt was over the line before the other two attempts were denied as Binnie made sure . The officials gave the goal to original attempt  which was hotly debated by the players in a friendly way . A minute later Ross Allum was brought down in the box and the assistant gave the decision immediately  Cammie Ross stepped up and gave Shaun Hunter in the visitors goal no chance . A hard fought encounter that we just edged as we now prepare for our trip to Dunbar United next week in the Scottish F.A. Cup preliminary round .Tickets are on sale through Dunbar United’s fanbase site .

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V HILL of BEATH

A good win to keep our good form going with first half goals from Greg Binnie and Jackson Barker was followed in the second half with double from Ross Allum to seal the points . A significant milestone was reached and he would have been pleased to have added to his 32 shut outs in his 150th game for the club , that of course being Connor Wallace who now has 33 shut outs from 150 games . The club made a presentation to him prior to kick off to show our appreciation of his service’s .( the total is of official games )
