UNDER 20 LEAGUE

With time not in our favour after a meeting with the Broxburn Athletic Colts and ourselves it was decided not to enter a side in this season’s competition. . If entering this competitive set up it was felt that more time would have been needed and everybody agreed it was best to wait till next season before starting an Under 20 side . The under 20 side would come under the umbrella of Broxburn Athletic and would have to be self funding and with a lot of travel involved it could be costly .We will assess the situation through out the season and hope to have a positive resolve come this time next season . The time restraint was we had to have our entry in before the 15th of June and we know a lot of work is to go into this before we embark on a new team . With games to be played on a Friday evening this threw up another problem with a major event on most Friday’s at the club that does not finish till 8-15pm  would mean later kick offs .This was cleared to a certain extent by the league but would take a lot of components being in place also . Not just a case of putting a team on the park .Disappointed but it will be for the best in the long run I am sure .
