TRANENT V BROXBURN ATH

Tonight we travelled to Tranent for a friendly and won 4-2 in what was a very good performance .We had a number of trialists and all showed up very well  .Cameron Ross put us ahead from the penalty spot after Ross Nimmo was fouled . Tranent got back on level terms with their own penalty before Gordon Donaldson put us ahead at the break 2-1 . Greg Binnie made it 3-1 early in the second half before David Howie scored a screamer to increase the lead .Tranent cut the deficit near the end . A good work out and show what the young lads coming through our community club can do at this level .

Jeanfield Swifts v Broxburn Athletic

Would like to start by saying everybody at the club wishes Conor Kelly a speedy recovery from what was a dislocated arm. At the time it looked a lot worse as we waited for the ambulance ,thankfully the injury ,all though bad enough was not as bad as first feared  .He was allowed home from hospital that night and was recuperating at home with strong pain killers .We played well today but just don’t seem to get any breaks at the moment Two goals in the second half sealed the points for the home side but we should not be despondent as we did play well and coped well with the injury situation and loss of Conor .(full report on website asap )
