Broxburn have a replay this week after a 0-0 draw at Maybole . Nairn St Ninian and Oakley 1-1 along with Ardeer and West Calder 3-3 have replays next Saturday as does Vale of Leven &Kenoway Hearts 0-0 and Bridge of Don  Rosyth 2-2 .In the senior Scottish cup  Linlithgow Rose beat Gala Fairydean while Kelty Hearts went down disappointingly 3-0 at Lothian Thistle  .

John Miller got out of hospital in Kirkcaldy tonight after treatment for concussion and torn tendon on his shoulder where he had dislocated it during a clash half way through the first half .We got John home to his Stirling home and made sure he was in company at home to recover .John was ok and would like to thank the Kelty Hearts physio who treated him when he realised how seriously hurt he was .The club would also and will be writing to him to thank him  for his prompt action in what could have been a worse situation had he not acted as promptly .Thanks to all who have asked about John’s well being .

A big thank you goes out to all who have joined up in the Friends of Broxburn Athletic who raised a fantastic amount of money in such a short time of running the scheme .If you can and would like to join up please contact any of the committee members who will explain how you go about setting up the account .

Anyone wishing seats on the bus to the Scottish junior cup first round tie at Maybole should contact Jim Provan as soon as possible as seats are limited and the list is filling fast .Please if you do put your name down make sure  that you can attend and give plenty of notice if for some reason you can not take up the seat allocated to you so some one else may accommodate it thank you  . The bus will be leaving the Albyn at 11am sharp

The Kelty Hearts v Broxburn Athletic McBookie super league match will be played on Saturday the 12th of September at Rosyth Recreation football club  ,Recreation park, Admiralty road , Rosyth  with a 2.30pm kick off as they are getting work done on their park .

Broxburn lost their unbeaten tag shipping three late goals to go from a winning position to disappointing loss .  Boness united lead from Carnoustie and defending champions Kelty . .Jeanfield  Swift lead the premier league one point in front of Lochee United and Dalkeith by winning 6-0 against Edinburgh United who have conceded 27 goals in only six games . Blairgowrie lead the McBookie North league by a point from the resurgent Coupar Angus despite a 6-1 home loss this week  .Top scorers this week were Dundee North End who put 8 past the Forfar Albion keeper without reply . Tranent ,West Calder and Easthouse’s Lily top the McBookie South league on 9 points with Tranent only having played 3 games to the others 4 games . all the results from the East ;;;;;;;
