It is advantage Lochee United in the McBookie Superleague play off with a 5-0 first leg win at Sauchie .Lochee went 1-0 up after ten minutes and Sauchie had it all to do when Cummings was sent off two minutes later for retaliation and the Premier league side took full advantage .It could have been so different had David Morrison not hit the post five minutes into the second half from the penalty spot when it was still 1-0 but it was not to be and the second leg on Wednesday looks like a formality for the Bluebells from Lochee .
Anthony Chatman c/o The Badgers won £50 in this weeks Key Draw but failed to open the jackpot box .Next weeks jackpot will be £700 with 13 keys left to pick from
In what proved a last day of drama in the East region leagues Fauldhouse United defied all odds with a 2-0 win at St Andrews to secure Superleague status with a last minute second goal with Sauchie , who have not played for over a month, having to regroup their players for a two leg play off on Monday and Wednesday home and away with third placed Premier league side Lochee United .Kelty Hearts finished second in the McBookie Superleague leap frogging their opponents today Linlithgow Rose with a 1-0 win at home. Drama also in the Premier league with Thornton Hibs winning 3-2 Dalkeith Thistle putting them into third bottom place above Oakley and Edinburgh utd .This could prove a significant as rumours are rife of Falkirk juniors folding and as in practice before only two sides would be relegated from the Premier league ,a decision to be confirmed over the next few days .With Newburgh v Forfar Albion finishing the league programme on Monday that leaves only the Superleague play offs on Monday and Wednesday between Sauchie and Lochee Utd both 7.30pm kick offs and two cup finals with Penicuik v Bonnyrigg Rose in the Conservatory Convertors Fife and Lothians cup on Wednesday the 8th of June at Musselburgh with an 7 pm kick off and on Saturday the 11th of June Boness Utd play Dundonald Bluebell in the DJ Laing East of Scotland cup final at Bathgate with a 2.30pm kick off.
