With a make shift defence and shortage in general of a pool through the holiday period still being with us .It was a huge result against a side all though bottom of the league had picked up a bit of form and with it, results of late .Darren Downie got the first goal on 21 minutes followed by goals from Murray on 35 and 42 minutes . Dale Robertson scored an own goal with the last touch of the ball in the first half . There were no signs of historical caving in with a fifth goal coming after 53 minutes from Downie .Ross Nimmo got two on 60 and 68 minutes with Alexander Murray completing the scoring and his hat trick on 88 minutes . We had five lads from the under nineteen’s in the squad today and they all were a credit to the community club wither on the bench or getting their chance when they came on.We thank the colts for their help today and the future looks bright at the club .( full report on website under matches )

Tonight’s friendly with Bathgate Thistle finished 3-1 for Broxburn Ath with goals from Craig Scott, Alexander Murray and Kieron Anderson for Broxburn with Robin Feeney getting a counter for the visitors .The most important thing was the players getting ninety minutes under their belt before competitive games start again on Saturday .

As well as our home game on the 6th against Forfar West End we have another fixture for the 13th of January 2018 .We will travel to Dundonald Bluebell in the McBookie Superleague with a 1-45pm kick off .On the 20th of January we are at home in the league to Camelon with a scheduled kick off of 1-45pm
