Broxburn created the first chance on five minutes when Ross Nimmo got down the right and crossed into the box where Dean Shaw punched off the head of Conor Kelly to clear the danger . It was going to be a dour battle .Alexander Miller saw a shot blocked by the defence on 15 minutes . Ross Cameron tried a speculative shot from thirty five yards out that sailed well over the bar . Good play from the visitors half way through the half on the edge of the penalty box finished when Alan Docherty fired a shot that was easily saved by Wallace in the home goals . Nimmo was denied just after the half hour mark by good defending . On 34 minutes the closest chance came when Miller tried to flick it past Shaw but the keeper saved well . A few minutes later the striker saw a shot blocked and cleared from danger .  Camelon created a chance with six minutes remaining of the half but this time Docherty shot wildly over the bar . The last and closest effort came in the dying minutes off the half when a corner came into the box and Miller’s effort was cleared off the line and away from the area .

All watching the game were hoping for better fare in the second half and it was the home side who almost scored in the opening minutes when Nicholas Locke made room for a shot but his effort went over the bar . Connor Wallace saved at the feet of Ryan Kane on fifty minutes at the expense of a corner . two minutes later Docherty ran into the box from the left and Wallace blocked his effort at his near post .The corner came in and Donald Morrison headed wide of the right upright . A long ball over the defence for Miller was met on the edge of his box by Shaw . An hour gone and the quality was not getting any better when a ball in from the left was just too high for the attacking  Ross Cameron . The goal came after 64 minutes when ROSS CAMERON got the ball in the middle of the box and went slightly wide right before turning and rolling the ball past Wallace from an angle . Kieran Anderson saw an effort from 25 yards out wide left go just wide of the left post .The same player saw the sane result  on the 80 minute mark . Jack Beasley sent a good long ball into the box with six minutes remaining but there were not takers of the chance created . With four minutes left on the clock an opportunity to get on level terms when Miller knocked a ball forward to Locke who was then brought down in the box and the home side were rewarded a penalty . Conor Kelly stepped up and his tame shot was saved directly at him by Dean Shaw . It was not to be our day we know we can and must do better .With no game until a week on Tuesday against Preston Athletic in the Football Nations Cup ,it will give time for all the niggling knocks and players coming back from injury to fully recover .The Preston Athletic match is on Tuesday the 30th of October with a 7-30pm kick off  .

This was to be the first official match on Dunipace’s new ground and a fine set up they have got .It was Dunipace who made the first chance of the game when Ryan Mack made a good run down the right before sending a great ball across the visitor’s box but no one was there to take advantage . Broxburn took the lead on four minutes when a free kick 30 yards out on the left hand side was floated deep into the box by Jack Beasley the home defender turned the ball past his own keeper to give the visitors a gift start . It was two nil on nine minutes when ALEXANDER MILLER was sent through into the box on the left hand side he went past the keeper to the bye line then cur back past the recovering keeper and defender’s getting back on the line to fire home through a crowded near post to score . Craig Scott had an attempt for goal on 13 minutes but his effort went well over the bar Beasley sent Miller through again on 17 minutes but the striker’s shot went wide right . Two minutes later a rare attack on the visitors goal saw Barry Tulloch battle his way into the box before hitting  his shot into the side netting .On 20 minutes Conor Kelly had a chance but as he made room for the shot the defence got back to clear the danger . Half way through the half and Beasley got down the left hand side before setting up Nicholas Locke who’s shot went wide left . Beasley himself saw a shot saved on 25 minutes . A minute later Miller pulled the best out of Jordan Alan in the host’s goal Aproaching the half hour mark and a short corner played to Locke saw the captain not get the full power behind the shot and Alan saved easily . Ross Nimmo and Andrew Gillen combined well down the right before the later sent a ball across the box that was turned behind for a corner . The corner came in and was defended for a corner at the other side . This corner was cleared but only as far as Gordon Donaldson who floated a ball into the box where ALEXANDER MILLER  steered the ball with his head into the back of the net Aiden Stevenson tried his luck from 30 yards out but saw his effort go wide right .Kelly was set up by Miller on 39 minutes but Alan saved from the striker . As the half was coming to an end Nimmo and Gillen set up a chance from the right but the ball into the box was cleared for a corner . The corner came into the box and Miller got his head to it but his effort was cleared off the line . Jack Beasley had an opportunity before the half time whistle when a ball into the host’s box was cleared out to him but his shot went over the bar .

The second half started with Broxburn still taking the game to their opponents  and Nimmo sent Locke into the box but his effort was cleared out for a corner . Fifty three minutes gone and Locke put a good ball into the box but there was no takers for the eccelent ball in . Broxburn thought they had added to the scoreline when two efforts were saved then blocked before Miller saw an effort bounce ,by all accounts over the line but spun back out and the referee gave no goal .(NO ASSISTANTS TODAY ) ,Scott saw an effort saved on 55 minutes . Aiden Stevenson made room for a shot 20 yards out but his effort went over the bar . Two minutes later Kelly provided Nimmo with a chance but his shot was blocked and cleared . On 59 minutes the game was put out of reach by the visitor’s when a free kick 25 yards out slightly left of centre was fired in over the wall into the top left hand corner by NICHOLAS LOCKE  .  Alan McFadden saw a effort from 20 yards go over the bar .Craig Scott almost caught Alan out when he had a free kick 35 yards out wide on the left ,when everyone was expecting a ball into the box the midfielder fired for goals just missing the left hand post with Alan no where near it in the goals . Miller and Scott Richards had chances saved then blocked on 71 minutes . Miller set up Scott on 73 minutes but his shot went just over the bar . With 11 minutes remaining Dunipace got a consolation when CHRIS MOULANGOU  was sent into the box and he fired past the idle Connor Wallace to score . Two minutes later the same player got down the left and cut along the bye line before hitting the side net with an effort on goal . With six minutes left Nicholas Locke flighted a great ball from a free kick out on the right and Shaun Harrison knows he could have done better with his free header going wide right of the target . Miller saw a shot well saved on 86 minutes and when it broke to Scott Richards  out on the left and he bent a great shot into the top right corner but it was just too high and struck the corner of the woodwork and bounced down into the arms of the grateful Alan . The last effort of the match came when Gregor Dryden had a shot from well out that went just over the bar . A semi final spot at home to Camelon is the reward for this victory with and we fully deserved to be there .A tough semi final in prospect but one I am sure the squad will be up for when it comes around .

In the first embers of the game Alexander Miller got down the right and fired across into the box but the home defence cleared the danger .In four minutes Aaron Whitehead saw a shot deflected over for a corner for the home side . Gary Fergus tried his luck from 20 yards but Shaun Harrison blocked his shot and the chance was cleared . After a quarter of an hour a through ball to Miller  who saw his attempt saved and when the ball broke to Ross Nimmo he shot over the bar .Alexander Miller was given a chance just inside the box on 21 minutes but Mark Mitchell in the host’s goal saved well for a corner . The corner came into the box and was cleared out as far as CONOR KELLY who steadied himself before sending the ball into the bottom left hand corner through a crowded box to open the scoring . Just after the half hour mark Jeanfield should have equalised when a ball into the near left post spun through the box and landed at the feet of Paul Simpson who blasted the ball towards the goal from 12 yards but Gordon Donaldson threw himself at the shot to block the effort and the ball was cleared .  Gordon Donaldson got on the end  of a corner at the back post but Mitchell turned the ball over the bar on 34 minutes  . Nicholas Locke got down the right with four minutes left of the half and sent a great ball across the box that found Nimmo at the back left of the box but his ball in was spoiled when Kelly was adjudged to have fouled while trying to get on the end of the cross back in .

The second half started with the home side desperately trying to get back on level terms and three minutes into the half a good ball into box from the right was falling at the feet of Robbie Holden when Michael Linton put in a timely tackle to clear the danger just as the striker was ready to pull the trigger . The hosts thought they had scored when Lewis Mackie got the ball thirty yards out strolled forward before firing in a shot that crashed of the left hand post with Paul Simpson firing wide of the same post from the rebound . At the other end on 56 minutes a corner into the box was met by the head of Miller but the strikers effort was cleared of the line . A good ball into the box on 68 minutes was just to far in front of Robbie Holden who was probably offside anyway had he made contact . Nicholas Locke saw a shot well saved for a corner on 70 minutes . On the counter attack  from a Broxburn corner the home side forced a corner for themselves .The ball was sent in to the back post and Rhys Davies shot was saved at the post by Wallace and cleared out the box by his defence . Ross Nimmo put a good ball into the back post which caught out Jack Beasley and the chance went a begging . Jack Beasley set up Locke in the box but Mitchell saved well at the expense of a corner on 84 minutes  . A minute later the visitors relieved the pressure when  Chris Townsley up the park for a corner rescued a ball out on the right and his ball out to Beasley on the corner of the box on the left hand side the substitute lobbed a ball into the box for ALEXANDER MILLER to glance a header into the net .Jeanfield pressed to try rescue the cup tie and came close when Rhys Davies made a good run into the box before firing a shot goal bound but Connor Wallace was not going to get beat today as he saved well turning the ball round the right hand post for a corner .A really good cup tie that had everyone on their toes from the off played at a high tempo by both sides and good football played as well .Last eight awaits the visitors with the draw still to be made ,lets hope we can get a home draw for a change .

Broxburn went on the attack from the kick off but it was the home side who created the first opportunity from a corner but Connor Wallace showed he was in determined mood and clutched the ball out the air comfortably . On nine minutes Miller set up Connor Kelly who made room for a shot that was saved at the expense of a corner . Dundonald broke away on ten minutes and a one two between Walton and LEWIS McKENZIE  saw the former junior internationalist fire home from just inside the box into the bottom right hand corner . With 12 minutes on the clock Walton got down the left before a great ball into the box was defended well by Shaun Harrison who’s well timed tackle thwarted the home striker who was ready to fire home . This was developing into a great match and a free kick 25 yards out right of central for the visitors was struck off the corner of the post and bar with Lennox beating Miller followed up with a header but Lennox saved well turning the ball away for a corner . The corner in was headed over by Locke . Dundonald created a chance on eighteen minutes when Walton fired a ball across the box 12 yards out but found no takers and Donaldson cleared the danger . The visitors took the lead on 37 minutes when Andrew Gillen put a great ball through to ALEXANDER MILLER  who made no mistake from 12 yards out . A minute later good play on the edge of the box CONNOR KELLY made room before shooting into the bottom left hand corner with Lennox stranded .Kelly had a shot with four minutes left of the half from the right hand side which Lennox saved at his near post .

Dundonald came out the second half trying to get back into the game and a timely tackle by Andrew Gillen in the middle of the box stopped them from getting an attempt in on goal on 59 minutes  . Three minutes later Scott Richards  played the ball out to Nimmo who’s ball across the box to Kelly was adjudged to have seen the striker offside . At the other end a ball into the box was headed goal ward but Wallace smothered the ball to stop the effort . Locke saw a good run and shot deflected for a corner . Calum Smith set up Barry Sibanda but the big striker saw his shot go wide left of the target . Archie Campbell put a ball into the box that Connor Wallace had to tip over for a corner . Derek Wallace had a  shot from forty yards out that Wallace dived and punched clear of the danger area on. 81 minutes . With eight minutes left the home side gave themselves some hope of getting back in the game when a long Walton throw was cleared out the box and ARCHIE CAMPBELL fired home into the bottom left hand corner from 25 yards out . That hope was short lift when ALEXANDER MILLER was through on goal and scored into the bottom right hand corner from 12 yards out . Gordon Donaldson made a good run with four minutes of the game remaining and he set up Miller who’s shot was saved for a corner .Broxburn now travel to Jeanfield Swifts in the second round after they beat Heriot Watt University 3-1 at the Students home .
