BROXBURN ATHLETIC VS TYNECASTLE
Broxburn returned to league action this Saturday with a home fixture to Tynecastle FC from the capital.
Broxburn make two changes from the team that beat Deveronvale in Banff in the Scottish Cup second round last Saturday. In come Errol Douglas and Andy Gillan for Ross Nimmo and Calum Heath.
Our visitors Tynecastle lie in 10th place going into this match. In their last match they drew 2-2 on the road against Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts over in Fife.
Broxburn are in their traditional home strips. Red & White shirts, white shorts, and red and white socks and are starting with a 4-4-2 formation.
Tynecastle are in lime green shirts, black shorts and green socks and look to be starting with a 4-5-1 formation.
In the first minute referee Strang gave a soft free kick over on the left. Nick Locke was given a yellow card for his protests.
In the third minute, Marky Munro plays a long ball forward down the right that finds Gary Brass. Brass is in behind the Tynecastle defence and shoots narrowly wide of the left-hand post.
GOAL! Broxburn take the lead on the 6th minute. A corner by Lewis Turner over on the left was pushed clear by Tynecastle keeper Murray Jackson, but only as far as Errol Douglas who scores low into the net for the opener.

On the 24th minute, Ben Davidson has space in the middle and has the option of Marky Munro on the right. He chooses to shoot and its well blocked by Tynecastle’s Mathew Combe.
On 29 minutes, Errol Douglas thought he had his Hatrick. He is played in and finishes well but the linesman put his flag up. Looked on from our viewpoint.

Ambitious shot by Tynecastle substitute Michael Johnston, his effort is way over the bar.
5-0 Broxburn it finished, and it was a good day all round. Only negative being the injury to Andy Gillen, fingers crossed it isn’t serious. We wish him all the best.
