BROXBURN ATH V NEWTONGRANGE STAR

A good three points today with a good overall performance from the whole squad . Lots of positives from today and three points with a second shut out  . A good team performance that outplayed Newtongrange Star for much of the game  with any threats from the visitors well snuffed out by the home defence . The pilot streaming of the game has had positive responce also and we look to build on this with good work from Graeme Alexander and his team who brought the game to those unfortunately can not be there at this time . .full report will be on matches as soon as possible and also the full game and a highlight package will be available in the next 24 hours . BROXBURN ATH V CAMELON

Broxburn produced a much improved performance tonight sealing a 2-0 win over Camelon with two first half goals from David Greenhill and Conor Kelly .When Camelon got a player sent off just before half time it looked like curtains for the visitors but Camelon were having none of it and pushed the home side all the way in the second half but to no avail and there were no more goals . Good three points putting to bed Saturdays result and a basis to build on going forward . full report asap .

PENICUIK ATH V BROXBURN ATH

Not the start to the season we had hoped for . A 4-1 defeat to one of the sides I think will be challenging at the top was a bitter blow .We did not play as well as I know we can and that was the biggest disappointment and I am sure we will dust ourselves down and prepare for Tuesday’s game at home to Camelon and hopefully get a result to kick start our season .

MATCH DAY

Well we kick off the season 2020/2021 today away to Penicuik athletic . This is not going to be anything like a normal season and you the fans will be sorely missed . We hope that issue can be resolved as soon as possible before teams can not continue due to finances being drained . Penicuik and Camelon on Tuesday will be streaming the games with us and details and instructions can be found on their websites . We will endeavour to keep you up to date with proceedings today through Twitter and FaceBook . We will go all out to bring the three points home and the players have had all your good luck messages passed on to them through our social media pages .Thank you for your continued support and we know you will be there in spirit if not in person . Keep well and Stay safe

Broxburn ath v Gala Fairydean

The final warm up game under torrential conditions against Lowland league opponents Gala Fairydean  ended up all square with Broxburn taking the lead through Gary Brass to lead at half time before former Broxburn player Zander Murray scored to level in the second half .Broxburn took the lead again through a Greg Redmond rocket with a minute later Gala got a fortunate equaliser when a ball into the box came off a defender before hitting Donoghue and going into the net  . A good game with next week’s opener at Penicuik looming on the horizon . full report in matches asap

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V LEITH ATHLETIC

With nine goals scored this looks like having been a thriller which the last ten minutes was as far as friendlies go . Leith took the lead through Kershaw on 13 mins  . Broxburn equalised through a Kelly penalty on 20 minutes . Leith went ahead again on 25 minutes through Malloy . Broxburn made it all square at half time with a second from Connor Kelly . BONNYRIGG ROSE V BROXBURN ATHLETIC

In an entertaining game with both sides having chances the Lowland league side came out on top in this pre season warm up game . All though 0-0 at half time it was a good match with both sides creating good chances but both defences matching and thwarting any .The goals all came in the second half with Gordon Donaldson putting the visitors up 1-0 after 50 minutes The home side then scored three through Lee Currie, Jamie Docherty and George Hunter .Cammie Ross pulled one back with five minutes remaining .A good work out after a long lay off and a lot of positives to be taken from the game as we prepare for a season that is going to be unpredictable in every way .A full report will be on the matches website asap .
