A good start to the pre-season build up with Zander Miller getting a goal in each half to cap a fine early performance from the whole team .These games are more about performances than results and both were on display today as the boys deserved to win  despite a depleted squad  due to holidays and injuries  . We started well and right through the side it was a positive performance  against our Lowland league hosts  . We looked sharp and eager to help each other as team work was excellent .Conditions were not too bad on an open pitch with a wind at our backs the first half but we adapted well with the wind in our face the second half and restricted the home side to few chances  and created a few ourselves  one of which we took .  The first goal came after 27 minutes and perseverance gave us a second with 10 minutes to go . Just like to thank the supporter’s who made it to day and hope you liked what you saw even at this early stage .

This Saturday the 16th of July we will be playing our first friendly .This game is away to Stirling University and will be played on pitch number seven at the Airthrey building within the Stirling University grounds and is up the top next to the golf area for anyone who is travelling .

Here are some of the ways you can support “THE BURN” this season

With new admission prices we have priced our season tickets accordingly  Associate season tickets for adults will cost £100 and Associate concession season tickets will cost £55 (this is due to no facilities will be available for hospitality until mid September due to extension works .Ordinary Adult season tickets are priced at £84 with O.A.P. & Concessions priced at £42 .Hospitality package’s have been priced at £40 per person and will be reviewed once the extension is complete .In the meantime this will consist of a prematch meal at Giannino’s Italian restaurant in the main street along with a couple of drinks plus entry to the game with match day programme  . We hope you can take up some of the offers above for the coming season .We also have the long term funding where you can by standing order deposit as little as just over  £2  a week on a monthly basis into our Friends Of Broxburn Athletic  account with all raised monies going direct to a transfer fund which will be used for keeping the playing staff at the club that will keep us playing in the top league in junior football . For details of any off the above please contact the committee .Company sponsorship is available from as little as £50 with various packages to suit your company  .Match day programme advertising starts at £100 for a quarter page advert ,£150 for half page and £200 for a full page  for the season. Match ball sponsorship is available to all at £50 a game . Player sponsorship (Home & Away kits ) is available at £30 per kit sponsor .In the past we have had supporters buying some form of sponsorship as a gift for friends or family which is also an option .We hope you can help in any way and most of all get along and support the team as we hope to improve again  on last season   .

Ross Donnelly has signed on at the Albyn Park to join his former Fauldhouse United team mates .Once again a much sought after signature and we welcome him into the Broxburn Athletic family and hope he has a successful time at “THE BURN ” .

John Cunningham c/o The Badgers won £50 in this week’s keydraw but failed to open the jackpot box. Next Sunday ,the 3rd of July 2016,the jackpot will be £850 with 10 keys left to pick from to open the jackpot box

Pre season friendlies have been arranged and are as follows with the possibility of one more addition .  Saturday the 16th of July  Stirling University  v  Broxburn Ath  2pm kick off  ;  Wednesday the 20th of July   Broxburn Athletic  v Oakley United  7.30pm kick off  ;  Saturday  23rd of July  Broxburn Athletic  v Vale of Leven  2pm kick off ; Wednesday 27th July  T.B.A.  ; Saturday 30th of July Broxburn Athletic  v Bathgate Thistle  2pm kick off  :  entry to all home friendlies will be priced at £2 for Adults and £1 for O.A.P.’s and Concession’s  .   The season will begin on Saturday the 6th of August fixtures to be announced
