Match Report- (Bo’ness United-Away- 20/9/25)
Bo’ness United are in blue and white shirts, blue and white shorts and blue socks. Broxburn Athletic are in their traditional kits, red and shite shirts, white shorts and red and white shorts. Broxburn Athletic make two changes from the team that lost last Saturday against Tranent 4-1 at Foresters Park. In comes Errol Douglas and Greg Page who replaces Nick Locke and Ewan MacPherson in the starting eleven.
Unfortunately, Broxburn Athletic have to make an early change as Kyle Bell is injured and can’t continue.

On sixteen minutes, Chris O’ Kane plays in Errol Douglas who from a hard angle on the right puts his effort over the bar. On eighteen minutes, an Errol Douglas half volley doesn’t have enough power and is easily collected by Bo’ness keeper Ben Fry.
GOAL! Bo’ness take lead against the run of play. The initial United corner taken by Jack Hodge has too much on it and finds Tom Grant wide right. His cross is flicked goal ward by Jordan Armstrong over Broxburn keeper Bob Watt and into the back of the net.

A cross by Bo’ness left back Keir Macaulay falls for Jack Hodge, whose denied by a great Scott McRory-Irving block on twenty-four minutes. On twenty-five minutes, a Bo’ness corner by Tom Grant finds Jordan Armstrong whose header looks to be dipping in, but Chris O’ Kane does brilliantly to head of the line.
GOAL! Broxburn are level. Robbie McGale does well to get beyond two Bo’ness players to the byline. His cross is half cleared as far as Jamie Docherty who finds the bottom left corner with a good strike.

BROXBURN ATHLETIC 1 (Jamie Docherty-33 Minutes)
Broxburn are very unlucky not be ahead on forty-three minutes. Jamie Docherty picks up a loose ball and drives forward before striking a great effort of the bar.
Up the other end, Bo’ness nearly take the lead. Sam Gormley tries to header back to Broxburn keeper Bob Watt, but Kieran Mitchell sneaks in behind and shoots over the bar.
HALF TIME (1-1)
On fifty-six minutes, a Greg Page free kick is saved by Bo’ness keeper Ben Fry.
Goal! Broxburn take the lead. Jamie Docherty feeds in Scott McRory Irving down the left wing. He plays a ball inside to Marcus Lavery who crosses for Errol Douglas. Big E scores with a good low left foot strike.

BROXBURN ATHLETIC 2 (Errol Douglas-58 Minutes)
On sixty-one minutes, a free kick by Bo’ness number 3 Keir McAuley is over the bar.
On sixty-two minutes, Bo’ness make their first change of the match. Kyle Johnston replaces Adam Masson.
On sixty-seven minutes, Bo’ness make a change. Roan Fitzpatrick replaces Jamie Watson.
Robbie McGale’s cross finds Errol Douglas whose glancing header is wide on sixty-nine minutes. On seventy-five minutes, a Chris O’ Kane shot is saved by Ben Fry.
On seventy-six minutes, Broxburn’s Robbie McGale is booked for a foul on Shaun Brown.
On seventy-nine minutes, Errol Douglas lays it of for Scott McRory Irving who scoops his effort over the bar. On eighty-two minutes, a long ball forward by Sam Gormley is nodded on by Chris O’ Kane and finds Errol Douglas who peels away from the Bo’ness defender and is in on goal with just the keeper to beat, his shot is cleared of the line by Bo’ness defender Mark McLuckie.
On eighty-eight minutes, Jamie Docherty has a shot saved by Bo’ness keeper Ben Fry. He has another effort a minute later that is just wide of the right-hand post.
Bo’ness have a half chance on ninety minutes, Tom Grant gets beyond the Broxburn defence and his cross is cleard by Alisdair Shrive.
