The Hosts were first to strike on their first attempt after five minutes when CAMERON ROSS gathered the ball on the left hand side and ran forward with the ball before cutting inside the box and unleashing a shot that took a deflection of a defender wrong footing the keeper as the ball nestled in the far right corner .  Two minutes later A corner into the box broke out to Gordon Donaldson just outside the box but his shot was blocked and cleared from the danger area . Owen Ronald made a good run into the box and just when he was about to shoot Donaldson came across and cleared for a corner .  Linlithgow got back on level terms on ten minutes  when Gordon Donaldson was trying to shield the ball out for a bye kick but Ronald Got the ball and Donaldson fouled him as he tried to go in goalward . TOMMY COYNE made no mistake from the spot . Ross Nimmo done well on the right hand side getting to the bye line before crossing low into the box towards Dominico Gibson but the defender cut the ball out for a corner kick . Just after half way through the half a long ball from Locke played towards Nico but the ball was just too strong and it ran through to the keeper . Broxburn took the lead again on 28 minutes when a Craig Scott corner in from the right was met in the six yard box by SHAUN HARRISON who’s header gave Kyle Marley no chance of saving . On the half hour mark a good run down the left by Ross MacKinnon before he sent a great cross into the danger are that Craig Scott cleared for a corner . Five minutes later Ross Nimmo brought the ball down on the right hand side before dribbling into the box before making Marley to make a good save . With five minutes remaining of the half Roddy McLennan made a good run into the box forcing a save from Connor Wallace . A good ball into the back of the box from the left by Cameron Ross was met by the head of Ross Nimmo who steered it towards the bottom left hand corner but Ian Gray got back to clear off the line with his keeper beaten . .

The second half started in explosive fashion with Craig Scott giving the ball away on the left hand side from the kick off Roddy McLennan made a run down the left before going into the box and was clumsily challenged by Gillen giving the visitors their second penalty with not even a minute on the second half clock . TOMMY COYNE stepped up again and scored from the spot kick for the second time this afternoon . on 54 minutes Tommy Coyne played in Darren Smith who forced a fantastic save from Connor Wallace . Owen Ronald saw a shot saved by Wallace a minute later . With 56 minutes gone Tommy Coyne fired in an effort from 25 yards out that Connor Wallace picked out the air comfortably . Broxburn went up the other end almost immediately with Ross Nimmo chasing the ball to the bye line before firing a cross into the box where Dominico Gibson who’s header went just wide of the right hand post . An Hour on the clock and A corner provided a couple of chances for the hosts with Harrison’s header saved and as it broke to Donaldson his shot was cleared off the line away from the danger area . With three quarter’s of the game gone a free kick into the box was cleared by Chris Townsley giving the visitors a corner . The visitors took the lead with eleven minutes left when a ball over the top of the defence was met by OWEN RONALD who only had the keeper to beat and he made no mistake finding the back of the net to the delight of his team mates . This looked to have knocked the stuffing out the home side but a minute later Gordon Donaldson was brought down in the box at the other end and Broxburn were handed a great opportunity to equalise from the spot . CAMERON ROSS made no mistake from the spot getting his side on level terms  This rejuvenated the home side and Captain NICHOLAS LOCKE made a good run down the left hand side before cutting inside the box and firing his shot away from the keeper into far right hand side of the goal  Linlithgow Rose should have equalised a minute later with Ronald and Ruari McLennan  forcing great saves from Connor Wallace . Overall a great game for the big crowd to watch ,maybe not for the purist’s but certainly entertaining local derby with both sides going for the win the game could have gone any way right up to the last minute . In the end we took four of our chances while they only took three of theirs and in football that is what counts when results are needed . Set’s us up for next week’s game at Edinburgh United with a 2-00pm kick off .

Camelon started this match the brighter and created the first chance on four minutes when the ball fell to Kieran Anderson just inside the box but his shot was weak and Connor Wallace saved easily . The visitors should have taken the lead on ten minutes when Michael Linton unusually gave the ball away on the edge of the 18 yard box leaving Ross Cameron one on one with Wallace .Fortunately for Michael Wallace saved well from the striker . Ryan Kane and Andrew Kay created an effort on 18 minutes but again there was no beating Connor Wallace in the hosts goal . A good run down the right by Ross Nimmo on 25 minutes saw his cross into the box met by the head of Nicholas Locke who knocked it down to Scott Richards who’ attempt at an over head kick fell weakly into the keepr’s arms . A minute later Nimmo made another good run down the right but this time his cross was poor . At the other end Kieran Anderson forced a good save from Wallace . With a half hour on the clock a mix up in the home defence saw Ross Cameron presented with a shooting opportunity which Wallace again saved well from . Craig Scott saw a shot tipped round the post with Dean Shaw at full stretch on 32 minutes . Nicholas Locke tried a shot on 36 minutes but from far out he missed the target .  Conor McKenzie was allowed to run down the left hand side before cutting inside the box and found Wallace again in no mood to be beaten as he beat his shot away and Gordon Donaldson tidied up by clearing for a corner . With half time approaching a ball into the box found Ross Cameron but his header was tame and easily saved . Keran Anderson’s blushes were spared when a shot from McKenzie was well saved and the ball broke to Anderson six yards out but he blast it over the open goals  but was adjudged to have been offside anyway .

It was Anderson who forced yet another good stop from Connor Wallace two minutes into the second half . Cameron Ross made a good run down the left and from just indide the left hand side of the 18 yard box he curled a ball around the keeper but to everyone on the home side were dismayed it hit the right hand post before bouncing straight back into the welcoming arms of Dean Shaw in the visitors goal . .Before the hour mark  Scott Richards was through on goal but under pressure from the defender he shot wide .That was his last action in the game as he went down injured and was replaced by Saul Duffy .Ross Nimmo saw a shot from the left go just past the right hand post on 65 minutes . Two  minutes later Nicholas Locke  turned in the box and shot which forced Shaw to save well . The goal came on 70 Minutes when ROSS NIMMO and Saul Duffy both chased a ball into the box with NIMMO getting the final touch forcing the ball into the back of the net . Time was running out for the visitors with 6 minutes remaining of normal time Ryan Kane saw a shot go just wide left from the right hand side of the box . Deep into the 5 minutes added on a free kick three yards outside the home box was set up for Kieran Anderson but thankfully for the home faithful his trademark free kick deserted him and from the centre of the box just outside he pulled his shot wide left of the target and Camelon’s hope’s of getting anything from the match went past the post with it .

A good win that see’s us go joint top was most satisfactorily achieved  and we can look forward to 2019 with optimism .

Broxburn had a chance In four minutes when a corner into the box found Conor Kelly who’s shot was blocked for another corner .The corner came into the box and a couple of chances were created but the visiting defence scrambled the ball clear . Nicholas Locke was through three minutes later but the ball just ran away from him and the defender cleared the danger . On thirteen minutes Craig Purves gathered the ball in his own half and was allowed to stroll forward and from thirty yards out fired a shot that rocked the goals when hitting the bar and going over for a bye kick . Kenny ross fired in a shot for the visitors which Townsley headed clear it fell to Mark Osborne who fired well over the bar on sixteen minutes  . Three minutes later Kenny ross put a good ball into the box but Chris Townsley headed over the bar to the safety of a corner . Mark Osborne tried an effort half way through the half that went just over the bar from the edge of the box . Broxburn took the lead in 28 minutes when a ball was cleared out the visiting defence it was played over the top back into the danger area and NICHOLAS LOCKE  beat the offside trap and ran in on goal to score past the keeper .Despite claims for offside the goal stood and was proved to be the correct decision on our analyst’s video of the incident . Broxburn eased into a comfort zone when scoring a second just before half time when a Craig Scott corner to the back of the penalty area found CHRISTOPHER TOWNSLEY  who bulleted a header into the net .

The second half started with the home side well in control after the late second goal in the first half . Conor Kelly almost added to the scoreline on 56 minute but could not get any power in a shot and Craig Cockburn in the visiting goal gathered easily . The third goal came two minutes later when Nicholas Locke made a great run down the right getting to the bye line before crossing to GREG BINNIE who turned the ball past Cockburn into the net . Good play down the left set up Craig Scott who’s shot stung the finger’s of the keeper before he gathered the loose ball at the second attempt . The points were wrapped up but still had a fourth goal  and good play on the left from Greg Binnie played the ball into SCOTT RICHARDS who was delighted to score after coming on as a sub after a long lay off with injury . All together a good day at the office and lot of positives to take out of the game today after last week’s disappointment . Next week’s  Game is at Penicuik Athletic in the Football Nation cup with a 2-30pm kick off under their lights  a tough game is expected .

With a cold wind sweeping down the park it was Nicholas Locke who warmed the opposing keeper up in 3 minutes when he tried an effort from 25 yards out . Connor Kelly was thwarted by Darren Walker in the visitors goal after a good ball through the defence . Ross Nimmo made room on the edge of the box before firing a shot from the right hand side that just missed the corner of the up right and bar on the left . The opening goal came after 16 minutes when a good ball deep into the box was headed back into the path of CONNOR KELLY by Nicholas Locke for him to fire home from 12 yards out .Two minutes later Taylor Hendry weaved his way into the box before shooting wide right . Scott Richards tried a snap shot from the left hand side that Walker dealt with comfortably . Nicholas Locke had two bites at the cherry trying to force the ball home but Walker saved at his feet the second time . Half way through the half Nimmo played Alexander Miller into the box where the striker was brought down and a penalty was awarded immediately . Gordon Donaldson  stepped up to take the penalty and Walker saved his kick before GORDON DONALDSON turned the rebound into the net .That is four penalties in four games that Broxburn have failed to bulge the net from the twelve yard mark . Just after the half hour mark a well worked free kick initially by Jack Beasley and Nicholas Locke ,  the ball was sent into the box where Conor Kelly turned and did not get any power in his shot and Walker saved easily .A good ball into the box was fired past his own goal by Corey Robertson for a corner .When the corner came in Miller headed wide after a free header in the middle of the goals .

Broxburn started the second half on top but it was Shaun Conlon who ran into the box going wide left before turning his shot from a tight angle into the side netting  on 50 minutes . Taylor Hendry got a chance inside the box on the hour mark that was saved by Paul Grant .Scott Richards sent in a good free kick on 65 minutes that found the head of Chris Townsley but the big defender could not hit target and it went over the bar . Two minutes later Nicholas Locke fired a free kick from twenty five yards out slightly left that was heading fro the top right hand corner before Darren Walker tipped the ball over for a corner at full stretch . Kelly and Binnie combined to force a save from Walker with five minutes remaining . The third goal came with two minutes remaining when a ball deep into the box was forced over the line eventually by CONNOR KELLY  .

A comfortable win really good first half with the second half almost forgettable but for some weird decision’s being made by the officials that had both sides wondering what was going on . We move on to next week’s game at Herriot Watt University with a 3-00pm kick off

Broxburn created the first chance on five minutes when Ross Nimmo got down the right and crossed into the box where Dean Shaw punched off the head of Conor Kelly to clear the danger . It was going to be a dour battle .Alexander Miller saw a shot blocked by the defence on 15 minutes . Ross Cameron tried a speculative shot from thirty five yards out that sailed well over the bar . Good play from the visitors half way through the half on the edge of the penalty box finished when Alan Docherty fired a shot that was easily saved by Wallace in the home goals . Nimmo was denied just after the half hour mark by good defending . On 34 minutes the closest chance came when Miller tried to flick it past Shaw but the keeper saved well . A few minutes later the striker saw a shot blocked and cleared from danger .  Camelon created a chance with six minutes remaining of the half but this time Docherty shot wildly over the bar . The last and closest effort came in the dying minutes off the half when a corner came into the box and Miller’s effort was cleared off the line and away from the area .

All watching the game were hoping for better fare in the second half and it was the home side who almost scored in the opening minutes when Nicholas Locke made room for a shot but his effort went over the bar . Connor Wallace saved at the feet of Ryan Kane on fifty minutes at the expense of a corner . two minutes later Docherty ran into the box from the left and Wallace blocked his effort at his near post .The corner came in and Donald Morrison headed wide of the right upright . A long ball over the defence for Miller was met on the edge of his box by Shaw . An hour gone and the quality was not getting any better when a ball in from the left was just too high for the attacking  Ross Cameron . The goal came after 64 minutes when ROSS CAMERON got the ball in the middle of the box and went slightly wide right before turning and rolling the ball past Wallace from an angle . Kieran Anderson saw an effort from 25 yards out wide left go just wide of the left post .The same player saw the sane result  on the 80 minute mark . Jack Beasley sent a good long ball into the box with six minutes remaining but there were not takers of the chance created . With four minutes left on the clock an opportunity to get on level terms when Miller knocked a ball forward to Locke who was then brought down in the box and the home side were rewarded a penalty . In a very tactical match the first chance came after 14 minutes  when a ball into the box was met by Christopher Townsley who put Conor Kelly through but his shot came off the bar and over .Three minutes the deadlock was broken when a Kelly shot was only parried by Calum Reid in the visitors goal and GORDON DONALDSON  was on hand to lob the ball over the keeper into the net . A. minute later it was 2-0 when the visiting defence was put under pressure by Greg Binnie and forced a pass back to his keeper who miss hit it into the path of ROSS NIMMO in the middle of the box and he had the simplest task to find the back of the net . Ross Nimmo put a good ball into the box on 26 minutes but it was cleared by the defence . With six minutes left of the half Conor Kelly did well to get to the bye line before finding Nimmo who in turn set up Binnie  , but the later sent his shot over the bar . A corner to the home side with two minutes left was met by the head of Shaun Harrison but it went wide right .

Broxburn had an opportunity to increase their lead five minutes into the second half when Conor Kelly was brought down in the box  and when he stepped up to take the penalty award Calum Reid saved and his defence got the danger cleared  . On 61 minutes Binnie made a good run into the box but his cross was cut out for a corner . Shaun Harrison had two chances from successive corners his first was deflected past the target and his second was a free header that sailed over the bar . The points were sealed on 71 minutes when Ross Nimmo played a great ball through to CONOR KELLY who went past the keeper before lobbing the ball goal wards and despite desperate defending the ball found the net . Greg Binnie had a header on 73 minutes that went safely into Reid’s arms . Heriot Watt got a consolation goal on 74 minutes when a corner into the box was cleared out right but still in the box when Michael Linton clumsily challenged the forward giving the visitors a penalty which Captain AIDAN QUINN made no mistake from the 12 yard mark . Justin Hogg had a good ball across the box cut out by Connor Wallace . With time running down Nicholas Locke turned and shot forcing a great save from Reid . Another three points in the bag see’s us keep our top spot .With three cup ties coming up only time will tell if we are top by the end off the month .Tough cup ties start next week away to Jeanfield Swifts in the South Challenge cup .

Scott Richards should have scored a minute later but saw his effort saved . On fifteen minutes Craig Scott saw an effort well saved . It was Nicholas Locke’s turn a minute later to be denied by Adam Shaw in the visitors goal . The third goal did come half way through the half when Binnie got the ball on the right of the box and laid it off to CRAIG SCOTT just inside the  box and he guided it into the far left bottom corner . Three minutes into the second half Broxburn had a chance cleared of the line . Nihai Bogatu had a chance on the right hand side of the box but his attempt was deflected for a corner by Jack Beasley . On the hour mark Conor Kelly ran with the ball across the box shepherded by a defender who eventually cleared for a throw in .  Inverkeithing had a succession of corner’s on the 63 minute mark . Craig Scott had another shot from 20 yards out sail over the bar on 65 minutes . Greg Binnie saw a shot go wide right of the target on 73 minutes . Kelly thought he had got the elusive goal but his attempt was blocked and cleared . A minute later Binnie was disappointed when a ball in from the left found him in front of goals but he turned the ball wide left from six yards out . Two chances in the last few minutes when balls into the box seemed to bounce of everybody and block the goal all though afterwards the visiting keeper did confess he clawed a ball from over the line back into play that the officials did not pick up on . .Good performance first half bit disappointing the second half but we move on to Saturdays home game against Heriot Watt University with a 2-30pm kick off .

With only two minutes left of normal time and Blackburn still in the game CONOR KELLY  got space just outside the box before firing home an unstoppable shot  to give his side a two goal cushion . going into injury time and Ross Nimmo forced a good save from Gavin King . The game was put beyond all doubt two minutes into injury time when a ball cleared out the box was played back in CHRISTOPHER TOWNSLEY got a glancing header towards goal that seemed to spin on the surface sending the keeper the wrong way and nestling into the net  .5-2 the final score but a much tighter game in reality three good points and our unbeaten record goes on .

The second half started as the first half finished with Donaldson seeing an effort go just wide left . Donaldson again was at the back post from a corner but his effort was cleared on 51 minutes . With 54 minutes gone Jonni Turner passed to Beasley on the edge of the box and his lob over the defence found Connor Kelly but the striker fired high and wide . Goal number four came on 57 minutes when a throw in to Kelly saw him pass to strike mate ALEXANDER MILLER on the edge of the box to volley home into the far left corner from the right hand side . Kelly had a good chance on 61 minutes but was cleared for a corner . Ormiston had a chance when good play across the eighteen yard box found Tinashe Ruwona but the Ormiston player shot over the bar .Broxburn went nap on 71 minutes when Craig Scott put a great ball out to Beasley on the right and he crossed into the box where GREG BINNIE was on hand to turn the ball into the net .Three minutes later it was six when a ball into the box came out to ROSS NIMMO who hammered the ball into the bottom left hand corner . Three minutes later the little midfielder saw a diving header at the back post four yards out came of the post  and clear of danger . It was only to be delayed a couple of minutes for him to get his second and side’s seventh when ROSS NIMMO received a good ball out on the left and he got into the box before firing home into the bottom left hand corner   . Kelly turned and shot over on 72 minutes before ROSS NIMMO completed his hat trick on 84 minutes when again he received a ball out left and ran in on goals to lift the ball over the keeper into the top right hand corner .Kelly could have added to the scoring but just failed to control the ball and the chance was gone . A comprehensive win of which there were a few today ,but we will have to be at our best against much stronger opposition next week in Perth against Jeanfield Swifts in the Alec Jack cup second round a much tougher game expected .
