ORMISTON V BROXBURN ATH

Another welcome three points at what could have been a tricky game leaves ourselves with our fate in our own hands .Goals from Craig Scott (pen) and Jack Beesley gave us a 2-0 lead at half time before second half goals from Jack Beesley again and Ross Nimmo  gave us a comfortable win . This leaves us with a must win match at Stirling next Saturday which will guarantee us the Conference C league and entry into the play offs for the East Of Scotland Champions . Lets get behind the boys and cheer them on next Saturday 2-30pm kick off at Stirling University .(more details of travel and directions will be posted later )

DEVELOPMENT UNDER 20 TEAM APPLICATION

Broxburn athletic will be applying to enter a team in the Development league of the East of Scotland Association .We feel this is the way forward and will be run by  separate coaching appointment with a committee to help run the background needs of such a side . We are currently looking for anyone who would be interested in helping with this and also any players who are eligible to play at under 20 level to get in touch with the club and we will accommodate . More details will be available from the seniors team committee in due course .

This week’s key draw was won by A. Bishop c/o M.Doran and they collected £50 but failed to pick the right key to open the jackpot box .Next week’s draw will be on Sunday the 14th of April and will have a jackpot of £800 and 11 keys to pick from to open the jackpot box .

BROXBURN PAY THE PENALTY AT DUNBAR

Broxburn were knocked out the league cup at Dunbar United with a Fraser McLaren penalty five minutes before half time separating the sides . Broxburn did have their chances but it was not to be amongst the chances were two penalties saved by Liam McCathie . We regroup and get ourselves up for the next fortnights two important games at Ormiston and Stirling University .

Liam Lawson c/o The Buchan Arms won this week’s keydraw and collected £50 .He failed to pick the correct key to open the jackpot box and next week’s draw on Sunday the 7th of April will have a jackpot of £75 and 12 keys to pick from to open the jackpot box .

CRAIGROYSTON V BROXBURN ATH

Another tough three points with a few scares along the way but the team came through and showed their strength during the game not to throw in the towel regroup and get the job done .It has been a sign that these players will fight to the end to get the result we all desire and get the job done . An early set back on 11 minutes from Tom Irving  was erased by a Shaun Harrison counter on 24 minutes . A better second half performance brought goals from Craig Scott and Gordon Donaldson and with it the three welcome points that keeps us on course for our target . Next week we have a respite from league duty with a League cup tie at Dunbar United with a 2-30pm kick off on the 6th of April .We will not be letting up our will to win and will treat cup ties the same as we have every other game .Hope to see you there .

Broxburn Athletic v Coldstream

A passage into the next round was the target and that target was reached with two goals from Jack Beasley ,(4 goals in 2 games ) , We started well but after the goal a cracking free kick from Jack we saw the half out . When we got the second goal it was again a relief as Coldstream got a goal back right away through Substitute Stuart Briggs  .We went on to progress to the next round with an away tie at Tranent who beat Hill of Beath 1-0 today .

NEW SIGNING

Broxburn Ath have signed a new player after getting international clearance from Germany . Robel Dent had been with SG Eintracht,Bad Kreunach and had a spell in America for four years .The twenty three year old midfielder is looking to try and break into the team before the end of the season and look to make an impact for next season . We welcome him to the Albyn park and wish him well .
