.Broxburn take an early lead on five minutes. Jon Robertson picks up on the right and plays a ball forward to Louis Kennedy. The Broxburn wingers cross is half cleared as far as Jamie Docherty, who takes a touch before scoring into the left corner. Two minutes later it was 2-0. Jon Robertson plays it infield to Kyle Bell who drives forward, before playing in Louis Kennedy. Kennedy’s shot is palmed away by Albion keeper Alfie Halliwell. The loose ball is half cleared by Devan McColl as far as Jamie Docherty who scores a great finish on the half volley that kisses the bar on the way in.

Albion Rovers pulled one back on seventy-three minutes, Lancelot Pollard takes on two Broxburn players before cutting it back for Tony Garth who scores from close range. Two minutes later Broxburn regained their two-goal lead. Errol Douglas heads on for Jamie Docherty whose shot deflects for a corner. GOAL! Jamie Docherty takes the resulting corner. It bounces into the direction of Marcus Lavery who stabs home his first ever Broxburn goal against his old club. Rovers pulled a goal back on eighty minutes. Tony Garth gets the break of the ball on the right he cuts it across for William Thomson who scores from close range.

Bo’ness took the lead on eleven minutes, when Callum MacDonald gave the hosts the lead with a finish at the back post. Lewis Milne equalised with a cracking volley on thirteen minutes. No more goals in the first half as both teams went in 1-1 at the break. On Sixty-Five minutes, a clearance from the Bo’ness goalie Ramsbottom hit Greig Spence and spun into the net for 2-1 St Andrews. Bo’ness were level from the penalty spot in injury time with Callum McDonald grabbing his second. But St Andrews won it in deep into injury time with David Maskrey slotting home sending the St Andrews fans wild.

Broxburn took an early lead on eight minutes. Nick Locke took on the St Andrews full back on the left and his ball over was turned in by Ross Nimmo. On twenty-three minutes, a Cammy Ross corner was headed home by Chris Townsley, putting the hosts 2-0 up at the half time break.

The visitors did get a lifeline with 16 minutes remaining when Wilson made a run to the bye line and when he cut it across the goals Donaldson cleared the ball, but it rebounded off Shaun Harrison and bounced into the net for an own goal.

That season Broxburn Athletic were crowned champions with St Andrews finishing in eight position.

Gala had a penalty on twenty-six minutes; Mo Adam was pulled down in the box by Neil Martniuk. Jamie Semple takes the resulting penalty and its well saved by Rose keeper Marc Anderson. Just before the half time whistle, it’s 2-0 Bonnyrigg Rose. Josh Laings ball in from the left finds Bryce who slots home for his second and Bonnyrigg’s second of the night. On eighty-six minutes, Rose added a third. Josh Beveridge heads home a corner from close range.

Bonnyrigg took the lead on thirty-nine minutes, a Billy King cross finds Rose Skipper Neil Martyniuk who heads home past Bob Watt, putting the hosts in at half time with a narrow 1-0 lead.

On sixty-nine minutes, we have a major talking point in the game. Lee Currie is booked for a foul on Chris O’ Kane, and as he is booked he barges into the referee. Out comes a second yellow and red and Bonnyrigg are reduced to ten men. The hosts added a second on seventy-eight minutes. On sixty-four minutes, Lee Gallacher added a second with a great finish into the top corner from the edge of the box. Clydebank eliminated Broxburn Athletic from the South of Scotland Cup with a convincing 4-0 win at Albyn Park.

Clydebank have the lead on six minutes. Lee Gallacher’s free kick is headed on in the direction of Liam McGonigle. The Clydebank wingers cross in is parried by Bob Watt, but only as far as Matt Niven who forces his effort over the line for the opening goal of the game. On nine minutes, Clydebank have a second, a very good goal. Oison McHugh plays a one-two with Liam McGonigle who scores high into the net. On 41 minutes, Broxburn’s day goes from bad to worse. Gary Brass is shown a second yellow card for a foul on Oison McHugh and Broxburn are reduced to ten men just before half time.

The Bankies added a third goal on sixty-one minutes. A deep cross from Oison McHugh finds Ciaran Mulcahy whose bullet header nestles into the left corner. Nicky Little is played in from a long ball by the Bankies right back and cooly slots home for 4-0 Clydebank in ninety minutes.

Jay McGarva gave Rose the lead six minutes into the game, with a good finish from a good ball through from Danny Dobbie. It was 2-0 Rose on fifty-nine minutes from an own goal by Colts Skipper Liam Allison. Colts manager John Doyle was sent to the stand late in the game by referee David Alexander for dissent.

Broxburn Athletic took all the points in reverse fixture between the sides back in August.

The Blue Brazil took the lead with only a minute on the clock, with Jack Denham scoring a header from a cross. Broxburn dominated the rest of the first half but couldn’t take their chances and it was 1-0 Cowdenbeath at the half time break.

But Broxburn hit back two minutes into the second half, with ex Cowdenbeath player Jon Robertson heading home from a Marcus Lavery cross. The Badgers took the lead on seventy-five minutes. Andy Rodden’s cross is headed down by Chris O’ Kane for Errol Douglas who volleys home high into the net. A good showing from Broxburn that day, who showed great character in the second half to come from behind and win 2-1.

Strollers ran out 3-2 winners last Wednesday under the lights at Forthbank. Ben Heal gave the hosts an early lead on five minutes, but Strollers went into the half time break level, with a Ross Pollock equaliser a minute into first half injury time. Stollers took the lead on fifty-eight minutes, with Tom Findlay grabbing his second of the season. Uni made it 2-2 on sixty-eight minutes, but it was the team from the capital who took all three points down the M9, With a ninety fifth minute winner from Tom Findlay (His second of the night).

It ended goalless in the last match between the sides last March. On 20 minutes, Stollers forward Mackie Scott manages to get in behind the two Broxburn centre halves, but the Strollers number 9 fires his effort over the bar.

Chance for Broxburn on 23 minutes. Kyle Bell drives forward and finds Shaun Brown with a good threw ball. The Broxburn winger’s shot is over the bar. On 32 minutes, Ruari Ellis had an effort from distance that is over the bar also. On 44 minutes, Lewis Turner plays a ball forward that Shaun Brown latches on too. His powerful effort hits the bar.

Big chance for Broxburn on 78 minutes! A good cross from Shaun Brown finds Darren Downie who is free. His shot is saved by Freddie Owens to keep the game goalless. On 90 minutes, Broxburn have a huge chance to win the game. Darren Downie is free and looks to have a tap in. But kudos goes to Strollers defender Bayley Klimionek who makes a fantastic block.

Both teams had chances to win the game. Stollers had the better of the first half and Broxburn the better of the second

In the game that kicked off new Gaffer John Millars spell in charge of Broxburn Athletic, Gala Fairydean took all the points in a tight game at Netherdale. It was the visitors who took the lead on fourteen minutes. An Errol Douglas shot was parried by Gala keeper Reece Murray right into the path of Chris O’ Kane who scored the rebound. Gala hit back on thirty-five minutes, Jamie Semple scored on the rebound from a Keagan Jacobs shot from a mix-up at the back, to make the game level at the half time break. But it was Gala who took a deserved victory with a close-range finish from Jamie Semple who bagged his second of the day on fifty-five minutes. Ex Broxburn defender Kieran Moyles was sent off for Gala Fairydean on eighty-four minutes for a foul on Ewan MacPherson.

Arniston Rangers (H) Preview

Arniston Rangers FC were formed in 1878. The Gorebridge based side play their home games at Newbyres Park. When speaking to chairman Craig Hall and asking him for some info on the club.

He said: ‘After relegation into division two, the club has had a frustrating start with 4 draws in 8 games, and 1 defeat which sees us 5 points behind the leaders after 8 matches. With a very talented young squad, averaging around 21.5 years old, we’re still very confident in the players and management to get the job done after some great performances we just need to build on those and bring in the consistency in performances to secure promotion back to division one’. Chris made these comments before Saturday’s win over Stirling University which put the club into fourth.

Arniston Rangers are managed by Philip Alexander. His management team consist of Assistant manager Ben Kettrick, first team coach Chris Thomas and goalkeeping coach Roddy McDougall.

Players to watch for Arniston Rangers include highly rated 17-year-old left back Robert McKenzie, top goal scorer Ben McManus, keeper Aaron Heap and midfielder Andy Muir.

Arniston Rangers compete in the East of Scotland Second Division. They currently lie in fourth position, winning four, drawing four and losing one, in their nine games played so far.

Arniston Rangers 2 Stirling University 0 (4/10/25) Arniston Rangers moved up to fourth in the East of Scotland Second Division with a convincing 2-0 victory over second bottom Stirling University. Sam Dickson gave Arniston the lead as he took advantage from a slip from the Stirling University keeper and fired home on fifteen minutes. The home side added a second on fifty-two minutes with a good finish from James Scobbie from a Bob McKenzie assist.

Carluke Rovers 0 Gretna 2008 4 (27/9/25) Gretna progressed to the second round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup with a solid 4-0 win over West of Scotland Forth Division side Carluke Rovers. All the goals came in the second half, with Centre Half Stuart Douglas opening the scoring on fifty-seven minutes. Sam Atkinson scored twice for Gretna on seventy and seventy-three, before bagging his hattrick and Gretna’s forth on ninety minutes.

Gretna defeated Broxburn 6-1, back on Saturday the 15th of February 2025 in the last meeting between the sides at Albyn Park. It was Errol Douglas who gave Broxburn the lead on seventeen minutes, with a close-range finish from an Alassan Jones cross. Gretna levelled on the half hour mark, A free kick finds Iain Anderson who heads home past Bob Watt.
