A good victory today over a good opposition and progress into the last eight of the Alec Jack cup was a very satisfactory afternoon up in Perth against Jeanfield Swifts Conor Kelly’s first half goal was well defended and could have seen the game go any way until Alexander Miller scored with five minutes left gave us a just result . Comprehensive win over a poor Ormiston side who did create a few awkward moments for Broxburn but we were professional in our display and finishing and it could have been more having hit the woodwork three times . A great result for the boys at the weekend with a blistering start going 1-0 up in 30 seconds followed by another on eight minutes .Despite Gretna pulling one back on ten minutes we went in 3-1 up at half time a lead we held until the final minute when they got two goals in a minute to send the match into extra time where Alexander Miller completed his hat trick to win the match adding to Nicholas Locke’s opener . A big result in a tough encounter taking the lead through Connor Kelly giving us a deserved 1-0 half time lead before Kieran Anderson got his trade mark free kick goal early in the second half . We battled away and the effort and determination paid dividends in the last minute with a Alexander Miller winner in the last minute sealing the points .A good three points away from home to one of the expected challenger’s is a good start in our league campaign . DUNDONALD BLUEBELL V BROXBURN ATH

What a performance today with the whole team complimenting each other with the way they played as a team . Everyone of them turned in a performance that was pleasing to the eye from back to front . Three goals from Miller with Kelly and Nimmo making it five to cancel out the two counters for the Bluebell through McKenzie and Campbell .A game we controlled for vast amount of the game time and never seemed phased  even when the equalised .Gives us an away tie on September the 1st to Jeanfield Swift with a 2-30pm kick off in the second round .
