Unfortunately tomorrow’s home game with Tynecastle has been postponed . We spoke to our opponents when there was concerns regarding covid with several players showing symptoms and we were informed at the time Tynecastle backroom staff were all waiting for results from their covid test’s . Both clubs requested the game be postponed in the interest of everyone’s health . The East of Scotland board were informed and granted the request to postpone on the grounds that Broxburn could not field a team . In hindsight the players so far that have taken a test have came back negative , but at the time we were not to know this Currently there are a few still to receive results of their tests (pcr tests ) but we felt at the time it was the right thing to do. The players were due to travel to Newcastle on Saturday night for their Christmas night out , they have cancelled this now with the concerns of the virus . We have a responsibility to our players, coaches , volunteer’s , supporter’s and their families , more so at this time of year . We were due to play Preston in a friendly on Thursday the 23rd but this is now cancelled as is any training this week leaving us hopefully clear to resume a week on Tuesday before we are scheduled to play Linlithgow Rose on Thursday the 30th of December .
