On 40 minutes the goal of the game when Craig Scott got the ball in midfield  and from just inside the opponents half made a inch perfect cross field pass to ALEXANDER MILLER who struck it on the volley into the far top left corner from the corner of the 18 yard box .

Half time brought changes with Craig Purves playing his first game back replacing Chris Townsley . With 30 minutes left three more changes were made with Nathan Donnelly-Kay replacing Jonni Turner ,Young 15 year old Daniel Duncan coming on for Craig Scott and Connor Wallace taking over from Shaun Donoghue in goals .It was not until the 76th minute when the scoring was added too with ALEXANDER MILLER Getting his hat trick .Debutant GREG BINNIE got on the score sheet on the ninetieth minute .There was still time in injury time to get a sixth and it was ALEXANDER MILLER who got his fourth . A good all round performance from the team and prospects look good on this performance for the season ahead .

Broxburn opened the scoring on 7 minutes when Alexander Murray got down the left rounded the defender before crossing to ALEXANDER MILLER to score the goal that won him the top goalscorer award for season 2017/18 .Dundonald equalised on 12 minutes when a free kick out wide left was struck towards goal it looked like Donoghue would gather easily but he misjudged the flight of the ball and it went over him into the net from BARRY SIBANDA . On 15 minutes a good run down the right was followed by a cross into the box that Sibanda got his head to but couldn’t direct it goal ward .The big striker was causing the home defence all sorts of trouble and had an effort cleared of the line on 19 minutes .He did get his second to put his side in front when a corner in from the right landed at the back post BARRY SIBANDA was there to squeeze the ball past two defender’s and the goalkeeper on twenty minutes . Half way through the half a ball in from the right was met by the head of Crag Wedderburn who sent his header over the bar . Two minutes later at the other end Ross Nimmo was set up but hit his shot past the right hand post . Half an hour gone and Gordon Donaldson put a great ball into Miller who took a touch past the defender before shooting wide right . Nimmo won the ball in the middle of his opponents half and laid the ball off to Anderson on the right hand side but his shot was just wid of the right hand side upright . On 37 minutes the Broxburn box was like a pin ball machine but the home defence cleared the ball after the scare and several chances to increase the visitors lead went a begging . A big call by the referee changed the dynamics of the game when Chris Townsley went out left to challenge the Dundonald  winger they ran into each other but the referee sent Chris off for apparently stopping a goal scoring opportunity . Dundonald made it 3-1 just on the half time whistle when ROSS DRUMMOND was allowed to run through he opposition half before cutting inside and scoring from the edge of the box .

Miller and Anderson could have got on the end of a through ball two minutes into the second half but the ball ran through to the keeper who had come off his line to gather . Kieran Anderson created a chance for himself on fifty minutes but shot just wide left of the target . Alexander miller tried to lob the keeper from just inside the opposition half but it came of the far left post and bounced straight into the arms of the grateful James Lennox .Broxburn did get into the game on 56 minutes when KIERAN ANDERSON got down the right hand side of the box before giving Lennox no chance . Dundonald restored their two goal advantage when a free kick was awarded 22 yards out centre of goals and BARRY SIBANDA shot home passed Donoghue for his hat trick . On 69 minutes there was strong claims for a penalty when Alexander Miller looked to have been pulled down but the referee was having nothing to do with it .A minute later the ball broke to Ross Nimmo who had the keeper to beat out on the right but the keeper did well turning the effort for a corner . Broxburn’s ten men again got within touching distance when a corner in from the right was met by NICHOLAS LOCKE who’s powerful header flew into the net . With 82 minutes on the clock a corner came in from the left and from a yard out BARRY SIBANDA scored his fourth and Dundonalds fifth with a header .Alexander Miller received a good pass from midfield from Scott Richards but his attempted lob this time went over the bar . With two minutes remaining Nicholas Locke was ordered off for a second yellow card received for a challenge twenty five yards out wide right .  Not the best way to sign off the season with a defeat but time to reflect and hopefully move on to better things next season . Thanks for all your support this season and lets hope we can do something next season no matter where we might be playing our football .

Broxburn had a chance early on when Ross Nimmo played a ball into Alexander Miller but the striker was offside and the keeper had saved easily anyway . Lochee should have taken the lead in nine minutes when Logan Davie bore down on goal with only Shaun Donoghue to beat the young keeper saved with his legs turning the ball or a corner .Lochee were dictating the play without penetrating the strong home defence . All their play meant nothing when Broxburn took the lead on 17 minutes when Ross Nimmo played a good ball to ALEXANDER MILLER who turned and shot from the right hand side inside the box into the left hand bottom corner in of the far post .Half way through the half and Kieran Anderson lobbed the defence for Miller to run on to but was adjudged to have been offside . A minute later Miller set up his strike partner Alexander Murray who’s shot went just over . On 39 minutes it was all most 2-0 when Anderson played Miller through and from a tight right hand angle he put it past the advancing Fotheringham in the Lochee goals but Millar got back to clear off the line . The second goal did come on 40 minutes when Ross Nimmo was fouled 25 yards out wide right and Kieran Anderson floated a great free kick into the box for NICHOLAS LOCKE to send his glancing header into the far left hand corner .

Lochee had an opportunity two minutes into the second half when they received a free kick 20 yards out and central to the goals but Grant Lawson fired the kick into the defensive wall and the danger was cleared . On 54 minutes Donoghue done well to smother the ball with Connor Brise bearing down on goal . A minute later Alexander Miller went on a run down the right cut inside and his shot was saved at the second attempt by Fotheringham . Logan Davie was unlucky not to get onto a ball played over the top of the home defence but it was just to hard and Donoghue gathered the ball easily . A minute later Broxburn trebled their lead with Locke doing well down the left then cutting the ball across to the on running ALEXANDER MILLER  who could not miss from six yards out in front of goal .The captain then sent Anderson away clear down the left but his shot was saved . Lochee mounted an attack on 70 minutes which Gordon Donaldson defused with ease and cleared the danger .  Anderson saw an effort saved again on 73 minutes . Substitute Reece Ritchie thought he had scored but Donoghue managed to tip the ball over the bar at full stretch . With eleven minutes left Alexander Murray done well to get past the defence but under pressure his shot found the side net . A minute later Ritchie turned and shot at the other end but his shot shaved the left hand post . With time running down Anderson ran  through the defence before setting up Miller who shot over .One last chance in the last minute when Locke played through to Anderson but he saw his effort saved .

Broxburn started the game well enough and created chances .In the second minute Alexander Murray played a one two with Alexander Miller with the latter’s shot being gathered at the second attempt by the keeper . .Penicuik had a short  corner in six minutes and after a one two the ball was played in to the back of the box where Andrew Forbes headed wide of the right hand post . On the quarter hour mark Ross Nimmo put a great ball into Miller who’s header went wide but was adjudged to have been offside . A minute later Kyle Sampson found time to turn and shoot but it went over the bar . Miller turned the ball back to Anderson 20 yards out but the shot was weak and the keeper saved easily .Approaching half way through the half Miller put the ball out to Nimmo on the right his ball across the box was just beyond Murray coming in at the back post . A minute later a ball played into the back post found John MacDonald who shot into the side netting . Poor distribution by Wallace almost let the visitors in but the defence rallied and cleared the danger .The opening goal did come a minute later though when a ball played over the home defence found LUMBERT KATALEZA who fired home from inside the six yard box . From the restart Nimmo went down the right before Baptie brought him down earning a yellow card . Anderson’s free kick into the box was good enough but not takers .Just past the half hour mark good play with Anderson to Nimmo then found Miller who shot weakly wide right . \\\\\anderson played a good cross field pass to Nimmo who in turn played a good ball into the box to Murray but before Murray could control the defence stepped in to clear On 34 minutes a good ball in almost caught wallaace out and he had to tip over for a corner . Penicuik doubled their lead two minutes later when a ball into the box was cleared out and it found JOHN MacDONALD 25 yards out who fired a rocket into the top left hand corner . Penicuik almost made it three with five minutes of the half remaining when Ewan Herriot misjudged  an attempt to clear the ball it found Arran Patton who laid it off to Kyle Sampson who made room but shot wide right .

The second half started quietly and the first opportunity came on 56 minutes when Murray saw a shot spilled for a corner and from the corner Miller shot over the bar . Penicuik had an other chance when a ball was played into the box but was cleared for a corner .The corner came in but was cleared out the box it was then fired goal ward by MacDonald but Wallace punched the ball clear it only went as far as KYLE SAMPSON who fired home through a crowded box into the net . Two minutes later Wallace punched clear again and MacDonald tried an ambitious overhead kick that went wide left .Broxburn got a goal back with quarter of the game remaining when Murray put ALEXANDER MILLER though on goals but despite the attendance of defenders and keeper he squeezed the ball home to give his side a life line .The visitors were reduced to ten men when Ryan Baptie received a second yellow card For yet another foul on Nimmo . A minute later Gordon Donaldson was looking for a penalty but was booked for simulation . Penicuik went further ahead on 67 minutes when Nicholas Locke was robbed of the ball half way inside his own half and a one two later KYLE SAMPSON  was able to turn and fire past Wallace . Broxburn still tried to get back into the game and a good ball into the box by Anderson but it was headed clear of the danger area . Murray saw an effort saved on 82 minutes .Two late goals turned this into a more than convincing result  The fifth came after the home defence was carved open and despite the  efforts of the defence on the line   DARREL YOUNG scrambled the ball over the line .With the last kick of the ball they made it six when a ball over the top found substitute SAMUEL JONES get beyond the defence to beat Wallace from 12 yards out . Not a good day with a very depleted squad hopefully injuries and sickness clears up before next Saturdays match at Linlithgow Rose

From the off Broxburn created a chance with Locke passing to Nimmo in the box but was just to far in front of his team mate with his pass . On four minutes a free kick into the visitors box was headed goal ward by the defence lucky for him it was straight at Darren Dolan who held it firm . Alexander Miller was set up by Kieron Anderson on ten minutes allowing the striker to turn the defender and shoot but Dolan was equal to it and the shot was saved . The opening goal came in 11 minutes and what a goal it was A corner in to the box from the right was headed clear and it landed at KIERON ANDERSON’s feet he stepped outside the defenders into the right hand side of the box before firing into the top left hand corner a goal of sheer beauty . On 16 minutes Alexander miller was heading to the bye line chasing the ball when Stewart Houston took him out of play the referee awarded a free kick but to every ones astonishment no card was shown . A couple of minutes later a corner into the hosts box was headed clear but it fell to Brian Morgan who shot went well over . Half way through the half a long ball caught everybody out and William Wells should have done better but his header went straight into the arms of Wallace . The equaliser came on the half hour mark when Morgan missed a glaring header in front of goals the ball was cleared then put back into the box where CONOR KELLY shot home .

The second half started with Sauchie on the front foot and Chris Townsley did well to block a Conor Kelly effort on 47 minutes .Sauchie’s Morgan turned and shot over on 51 minutes and were on top at this time . It was no surprise that they took the lead two minutes later all though it was some what gifted to them when a ball into the box caused confusion between Townsley and Wallace and hesitancy let BRIAN MORGAN to nip in between them and fire home . Two minutes later a great ball from Locke to Miller wide right saw the striker cut inside and firing away a shot that was turned away fro a corner .When the corner came into the box Miller headed over   the bar .With 58 minutes gone good work down the right hand side ended with Andrew Gillen putting a disappointing ball into the box that went out for a bye kick . Broxburn were trying hard to match their opponents and Locke saw an effort volleyed over the bar from 25 yards out . Broxburn all most capitalised on 66 minutes when Terry Hewitt  miss judged a long ball but recovered well with Murray and Miller ready to pounce as he cleared for a throw in .A minute later a good corner into the box was met by Donaldson but he some how scooped it over from five yards out . Sauchie were dangerous with their ball’s into the box and on 69 minutes he saved well before having to react to save again from Kelly . The home side got back on level terms with a goal set up by Scott sent ALEXANDER MILLER through on goal and he made no mistake beating the keeper from 16 yards out .  . Level terms only lasted 4 minutes when a ball through to Morgan saw the captain fire for goals but Wallace saved at the expense of a corner .The corner came into the middle of the box six yards out and STUART BELL headed home unchallenged to put his side in front again . Broxburn tried hard to get back on level terms and Craig Scott fired in a shot that was well saved . A minute later  they got a break similar to Sauchie second goal when a long ball through the middle bounced just outside the box it went over the advancing keeper and ALEXANDER MILLER ran through under pressure to score . Two minutes later on 80 minutes a throw in into the box was knocked out to far side and from inside the right hand side of the box ANTHONY McTAGGART fired into the bottom right hand corner . With time running out Nicholas Locke fired over from25 yards out . .Going into time added on another fire cracker from KIRERON ANDERSON a ball  played into the box from the left hand side broke to the hot shot on the left hand corner of the box and he fired another unstoppable shot passed the helpless keeper . .Anderson could have had a hat trick and a dramatic winner when a move broke down at one end Broxburn  counter attacked well and Anderson had options to pass to either pass to Miller or Murray or shoot himself he chose the later and his effort went wide . Still unbeaten at home a positive to take out f this game with not one of our best performances of the season  is a plus and the tow  worldies from Kieron were worth being there for to see . Next week away to Lochee United (weather permitting if the forecasts are to believed ) and a bus will be leaving from the Albyn Park at 11-45pm  any one requiring a seat on the bus contact the committee asap. There is construction work going on around the Lochee ground at the school and their car park is now closed so parking will be very limited .

Bonnyrigg started the game well without any real danger being created .On four minutes Wayne McIntosh saw a header from deep in the box miraculously saved by Connor Wallace Broxburn created their first chance on nine minutes when Ross Nimmo saw a attempt at goal easily saved . Bonnyrigg went straight up the park and a ball in from the left found McIntosh at the back post and unchallenged he headed over the bar . Broxburn were handling the Bonnyrigg strategy well and the defence once again cleared with ease on 12 minutes as the Rose tried hard to pierce the home defence . Kieran McGachie tried an effort from 20 yards out but went wide right of the target .Connor Wallace saved easily from McIntosh on 18 minutes . A let off for the home side when a ball played across the box went safely bye for a goal kick with no Bonnyrigg attackers taking advantage of the good ball in . Half way through the half Wallace pulled of a great save from Ross Gray but he was offside anyway but Connor still had to save before the decision was given . With ten minutes remaining Alexander Miller saw an effort blocked and cleared .The opening goal came on 36 minutes when a free kick put in from the left 12 yards out by Kieran Anderson was met by the head of GORDON DONALDSON who had gave his minder the slip to head into the back of the net .A couple of minutes later Bonnyrigg should have equalised when a ball from a free kick was cleared out the danger area it fell to a Bonnyrigg player who put the ball into the box on the right hand side where Kieran McGachie was unmarked and his shot shaved the bar hitting the back stanchion once over the bar. The home defence was handling everything that the visitors were throwing at them and stood firm .Broxburn doubled their lead with time running out in the first half when Nicholas Locke got the ball on the wide left hand side just inside his opponents half and fired a precision cross field pass to KIERAN ANDERSON who met it inside the penalty area and despite Bryan Young’s desperate fingertip attempt to save , the ball found its way into the top left hand corner .
Broxburn went on the attack from the second half kick off and when Locke was brought down 25 yards out Anderson fired in the free kick which Young saved comfortably . It was Nicholas Locke again who raced in on goal on 53 minutes but Bryan Young came of his line to stop the captains shot with his trailing leg as he dived to spread himself . At the other end the home defence held firm again and thwarted a good chance created by the visitors . Just before the hour mark a ball into the box was met by Kyle Wilson who thought he had scored but Connor Wallace was at his best to stretch and turn the ball away from danger the ball was cleared and it fell to Neil Martynuik who saw his shot saved and held by Wallace . McIntosh had an opportunity four minutes later but shot well over the bar . Kieran Anderson went on a mesmerising run past four defenders before firing off a shot from the left hand side that went past the right hand post . On 65 minutes the home side scored a third and effectively put the points in the bag when Neil Martynuik made a mess of a touch just inside his opponents half and Ross Nimmo capitalised by collecting the ball and running through unchallenged before a slide rule pass to ALEXANDER MILLER past the last defender for the striker to fire under the advancing keeper. McIntosh was finding no luck as Wallace saved his attempt on 71 minutes .With ten minutes remaining Jonathan Brown from wide left and about six yards from the bye line ,fired over a cross come shot that shaved off the cross bar before being cleared away . A minute later a ball into the box found Keith Lough 8 yards out but he shot over the bar .Michael Linton sent Anderson away down the left and as he approached the bye line fired in a pass to Locke who’s first touch was heavy and the visiting defence cleared the danger . Time was running out for the visitors and with 12 minutes left a throw in into the box and found Ross Gray who shot over the bar . Bonnyrigg did get a consolation goal on the ninety minute mark when a ball cleared out the box fell to NEIL MARTYNUIK who controlled it well before firing in to the top right hand corner with a left foot strike giving Wallace no chance .Broxburn had a claim for a penalty in injury time but the referee probably called it right as it was more of a clumsy collision of Miller and Young in the box . A good three points against one of the league favourites and praise goes out to all involved today as the three departments worked their socks off to get the management team’s tactics to work spot on .Next week we move on to Lochee United with confidence and any of the league challengers start slipping up we will be ready to strike as we have given ourselves an outside chance ,if Penicuik are considered contenders we must be there too ..

Broughty created the first opportunity of the match when Kevin Milne was set up but a fine tackle by Chris Townsley thwarted the attempt at goal . A minute later at the other end Nicholas Locke got down the right before shooting over the bar . Locke got down the right again on eleven minutes and his ball into the box was turned behind for a corner .From the corner Alexander Miller headed over the bar . Three minutes later a Locke shot saw the keeper push the ball round the post for a corner .when the corner came in Alexander Miller had a free header 8 yards out but it sailed high and wide . Andrew Gillen hit a ball into the box and the defender almost put the ball past his own keeper trying to clear it . The opening goal came half way through the half when Kieran Anderson lobbed a free kick into the box from the left hand side twenty five yards out it bounced untouched through the defence where GORDON DONALDSON had run through and guided the ball into the net . On twenty five minutes a Donaldson free kick deep wide left in his own half was cut out by Derryn Kesson who ran forward unchallenged before getting his shot away from the edge of the box but saw it go a foot wide of the right hand post . After half an hour Milne laid the ball back from inside the opposition box to Brian Clark on the edge of the box but he shot well over the bar .
Just before the hour mark Scott Richards laid the ball back to Locke who shot over the bar . Broughty had a good break away on the hour mark when 3 on 3 they laid the ball of to Jamie Winter who shot wildly past and the chance was gone .that was to cost the visitors a minute later when Anderson caught a long through ball to the right hand side of the goals he cut it across the six yard box where ALEXANDER MURRAY came storming in to fire home giving the keeper no chance .Donaldson tried a shot from thirty yards out but the keeper saved easily on 63 minutes . On 66 minutes Milne snatched at chance from a poor touch from Townsley on the edge of the box but shot over . A couple of minutes later Milne saw Connor Wallace pull of a fine save from a powerful shot . Substitute Christopher Liversedge fired a ball across the box from the left hand side but there were no takers and the ball went past the right hand post for a bye kick . Seventy one minutes gone and a throw in to Anderson saw him make space before firing in a shot that John Sinclair could only parry into the path of Alexander Murray but the striker shot high as he snatched at the opportunity . Andrew Gillen kept Broxburn’s clean sheet record intact when clearing of the line after a hopeful ball into the box looped high over everyone before Gillen cleared . The third goal came with a bizarre penalty, with Alexander Miller chasing a ball into the box the keeper hadcome of his line to gather the ball comfortably but for some reason Ryan Suttie decided to foul Miller as he got in the box and the penalty was awarded, CRAIG SCOTT stepped up to the spot and almost took the net off giving the keeper no chance . Alexander Murray set up Alexander Miller with a minute left on the clock but his strike partner shot just wide . The last piece of action saw a piece of sublime football when KIERAN ANDERSON got the ball on the left hand side of the penalty box two defenders tried to get the ball off him as he got close to the bye line he dummied both of them leaving them behind before firing an unstoppable shot past Sinclair to finish the game as the referee blew the final whistle as soon as brought restarted the game . That’s another clean sheet and four more goals which can only be described as impressive .Not the best game in recent weeks a dour affair at times but to come through it unscathed is good news .

With a strong westerly wind at their backs it was Broxburn who took the lead after six minutes when a free kick taken by Anderson was blocked by the wall it broke back to KIERON ANDERSON 30 yards out who despatched the ball in the net off the left hand post .Two minutes later Camelon should have equalised when Ross Crawford was through on goal but Wallace stopped the shot and Gillen cleared the danger .On eleven minutes a superb cross field pass to Alexander Miller was pin point but the striker’s touch let him down and the defender stepped in to clear for a corner . The second goal came on 13 minutes when good build up play saw the ball finally break of the defence to CRAIG SCOTT 25 yards out and he fired home giving Shaw no chance in the visitors goal .Within four minutes it was 3-0 when a KIERON ANDERSON free kick wide left five yards outside the box was fired in to the bottom left hand corner .Half way through the half Camelon had a good move which ended when Ryan Kane fired well over from the edge of the box .The fourth goal came after good passing play and finally played to SCOTT RICHARDS 20 yards out and he fired home into the bottom left hand corner .Ten minutes of the half remaining Camelon were pushing for a goal on the edge of the box but some desperate defending to equal the attack cleared the danger . Alexander Miller had a shot saved with nine minutes of the half remaining .The last opportunity of the half fell to Craig Donaldson with six minutes remaining he fired a shot at goals straight at Connor Wallace who could only parry it and grab it at the second attempt .
With everybody expecting the visitors to make use of the wind advantage the second half it was Broxburn who took the came to the visitors and in 48 minutes Alexander Murray got on the end of a Kieron Anderson cross field ball and put it in the net only to be ruled out for offside .On 52 minutes Anderson got down the left and fired a ball across the six yard box but the defender got there just before Miller and cleared for a Broxburn corner .From the corner the ball broke to the edge of the box and Scott Richards fired over the bar .Good play four minutes later when played the ball across to Miller but the defence stepped in to clear the danger . With the wind continuing to blow Camelon got a free kick with 17 minutes left Connor Wallace saved pushing it straight to Alan Docherty who headed it straight into the hands of Wallace and he knows he should have done better . ten minutes remaining and Craig Scott set up Nicholas Locke who’s shot was saved . In the dying embers of the match Anderson was set up by Miller and ran goal ward from the left curling a shot past the far right post . With the final whistle beckoning Anderson got down the left hand side and fired a ball across the box that was just to strong for the advancing Murray . That’s 3 games 16 goals for none against in some terrible conditions can not argue with the stats playing well scoring well and defending well all ingredient’s of a successful side .Next weekend home to Broughty and hopefully the form continues please note this will be a 2-30pm kick off
