FOOTBALL SUSPENSION UPDATE

The SFA along with Government advice and after several meetings with the Associations throughout Scotland have suspended all football below Championship level  until at least midnight on Sunday the 14th of February . This is not a definitive date for restart and will be reassessed  before the 10th of February as to the safety of everyone involved and further instruction will be issued there after  .We have to be patient and realise that lives are at risk .With the vaccine being rolled out over the country and figures beginning to recede ,still very high though , lets hope we are now going to get the better of this virus and we can all return to some form of normality all though pre virus normality is going to take a long time to return .  Please be safe and take care and we will all pull through this together  .

So join in have some fun and help the club it is much appreciated .

POSTPONEMENT UPDATE

At the moment there is no date to reschedule getting back to training and playing . With the lockdown extended into mid February ,there looks like no sign of any return until before this and we all have to be patient . Getting the figures down and people being safe is the priority . It is a time to look after each other and help each other where we can in any way possible . Even a call to someone you may not have been in touch with for a while can lift the spirits during this time . We are here if you need us and don’t be afraid to chat . Hopefully soon this will abate and some form of normality can be had by all

LOCKDOWN INFORMATION

The SFA have decided to suspend all football ,including training until at least the 31st of January when it will be reviewed . This could be a long lay off again for the game and we will keep you updated as we hear of any news . We will be looking for supporters and interested parties to watch out for virtual events over the coming weeks and will hope everybody who can will take part and  interact with the club and community . We are and all ways will be here for you , don’t be a stranger we will be on the end of the phone if you would like to chat. We hope to roll out a number of events and these will be announced here and on our social media accounts . Stay Safe

LOCKDOWN PROTOCOLS

The East of Scotland Football Association held a meeting to discuss the implications of the recent lockdown restrictions . With the SFA informing clubs to carry on playing under the instruction from the Scottish Government to allow us to start the season , there has been no directive from the governing body to change the playing schedule .  Fixtures will continue to be played (weather permitting ) as scheduled .  What has been decided is that no friendlies will be sanctioned until further notice and travelling officials should be kept down to a minimum  . We sincerely hope that everybody stays safe and we can get through these very trying times together . Please stay safe and hopefully with the vaccines now being administered the situation will improve greatly early  in 2021 .

BROXBURN ATHLETIC V LOTHIANTHISTLEHV

This weeks fixture like many others has had to be postponed due to the freezing conditions . With frozen snow on top of a frozen park and temperatures set to plummet even lower over night both clubs agreed that it would be best to call the game off early

FIXTURE UPDATE

With Camelon’s Scottish cup tie against Brora Rangers being postponed again at Dunipace’s all weather park tonight (Wednesday ) they will now try and get it played on Saturday . This leaves LothianthistleHV able to travel to Broxburn to play a rearranged Premier league match at 2-30pm on Saturday the 9th of January . This game will be streamed free of charge live  , details on social media  in next couple of days . Even this early though unfortunately the park is frozen solid and with the forecast not to get much better next couple of days it could be scuppered by the weather . We will monitor the situation and keep everybody updated .

Linlithgow Rose v Broxburn Athletic

Tomorrows game at Linlithgow is postponed due to frozen park . With the forecast not to improve we agreed to the early call off . The forecast for the month of January is not good with freezing temperatures the norm for the month . We are awaiting a fixture reshuffle for next Saturday before setting up future fixtures on the site . As soon as we have any news we will post it as soon as possible . Meanwhile we wish all a prosperous and Happy New Year and hope we can all get together soon and watch the team perform . BACK THE BURN
