Disappointing result today and now for the first time this season relying on another club doing us a favour if we are to progress to the championship . An even game separated by one goal . We have played better and will be up for the challenge should Bonnyrigg Rose beat Penicuik on Wednesday evening with a 6-45 kick off . The club would like to thank everyone for their support and long may it continue . (full report on game in results page )
This week’s Key draw was won by Murray c/o the Halfway House he won £50 but failed to pick the right key to open the jackpot box .Next week’s draw on Sunday the 28th of April will have a jackpot of £900 and Nine keys left to pick from to open the jackpot box .

We will be having our usual hospitality packages available for our round robin match at home to Bonnyrigg Rose on Saturday the 4th of May with a 2-30pm kick off . . If you wish to book ,please do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment .You can book through any committee member Keep backing the Burn and support the boys .

We have taken a massive leap in the history of Broxburn Athletic .After today’s clinching of the Conference league “c” ,we are two games away from the Lowland League .Goals from Donaldson ,Harrison , Nimmo and Binnie in the first half secured the league . A round robin will now take place and after today’s results we now play Penicuik Athletic at Penicuik next Saturday the 27th of April with a 2-30pm kick off .Then Bonnyrigg Rose will host Penicuik Athletic in mid week with the final game of the round robin here at the Albyn Park on Saturday the 4th of May when we will host Bonnyrigg Rose with a 2-30pm kick off ..The format of the play offs is as follows it will be three points for a win ,one point each for a draw but if there is a draw there will be a penalty shoot out for an extra point to try and avoid a stalemate at the end of the round robin games .Tonight we party and let our hair down but Tuesday we regroup and prepare ourselves for two tough games in the next two weeks .

Saturday’s game at Stirling will have a free admission ie. no entry fee . There will be a couple of the Stirling lads go round later with buckets for any donation you can pay . Parking at the ground is limited with construction work being carried out at the University . You can drop off at the park but parking is further up University road and a short walk to the ground .
Sunday’s Keydraw was won by Shona c/o The Greentree who won £50 but failed to pick the right key to open the jackpot box .Next week’s draw on Sunday the 21st of April will have a jackpot of £850 with ten keys left to pick from to open the jackpot box .

Stirling University play in the University campus .The ground is called Gannochy sports centre ,University of Stirling , Stirling ,FK9 4LA . As you enter the campus from the A9 ,Airthrey road ,you follow University road swinging round to the right and the park is up on the right hand side beside the sports centre .

Another welcome three points at what could have been a tricky game leaves ourselves with our fate in our own hands .Goals from Craig Scott (pen) and Jack Beesley gave us a 2-0 lead at half time before second half goals from Jack Beesley again and Ross Nimmo gave us a comfortable win . This leaves us with a must win match at Stirling next Saturday which will guarantee us the Conference C league and entry into the play offs for the East Of Scotland Champions . Lets get behind the boys and cheer them on next Saturday 2-30pm kick off at Stirling University .(more details of travel and directions will be posted later )

Broxburn athletic will be applying to enter a team in the Development league of the East of Scotland Association .We feel this is the way forward and will be run by separate coaching appointment with a committee to help run the background needs of such a side . We are currently looking for anyone who would be interested in helping with this and also any players who are eligible to play at under 20 level to get in touch with the club and we will accommodate . More details will be available from the seniors team committee in due course .
