What a disappointing day .As good as the guys have been playing ,  today was very poor and we got  probably what we deserved out the game . Without making excuses Jack Beesley’s slip on the very soft surface allowed them in for an easy opener before they doubled their lead from a corner .The third came when we were chasing the game .  We will learn from this and move on putting the disappointment behind us . The players know now how it feels to taste defeat in the league and will not want that feeling again any time soon .

Kristopher Goss has been put on the transfer list and the club are looking for offers for the player . He is a vastly experienced in the North East of England where his last club was Washington  and also played for FA vase winners Whitley Bay ,West Auckland Town and Hebburn Town as well as playing in the South Conference  . The club are looking to get Kris playing as soon as possible .

A fine win tonight as we get back to league football after the excitement of the cup has been put on the back burner for a few weeks . A very disappointing crowd  turned up to see us win 5-1 in the Central Taxi’s premier League with only 120 hardy souls there to witness it . Goals from Ross Nimmo , Gordon Donaldson , Nicholas Locke (2) and Dominico Gibson sealed the points on offer tonight . Another league match coming on Saturday away to Sauchie  with a 2-30pm kick off .  The following Saturday we are back home for a 4th round South Qualifying Challenge cup tie against Tranent  with a 2-30pm kick off .

What a day  for the town .To bring a second division Scottish Football League side in the shape of Cowdenbeath and turn them over 3-0 to progress in the William Hill Scottish cup at the Albyn park is remarkable .Still pinching myself but we have done it and looking forward to our trip to Inverurie Loco’s .A big thanks goes out from the club for the backing we got to get us through this round of the cup . The players got a huge lift from the size of the home support and was much appreciated the way,  all backed the team in a good natured fantastic way .A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers from committee to the girls working in hospitality  what a great job everybody done in preparation and on the day it went as smoothly as we could have hoped for so thank you all and see you on Wednesday night when we play Newtongrange Star in the league with a 7-30pm kick off . A mention to our new found friends from Fife it was a pleasure to have met you all and your board and backroom staff are a credit to your club .

Today’s the day Broxburn as a town can put Broxburn on the football map . Get out on this fine day and BACK THE BURN at the Albyn Park for a William Hill Scottish cup second round  replay against SFL second division side Cowdenbeath  .Let’s make this a family occasion and cheer the boys on to the next round . Your backing is like a twelve man as the players get a lift seeing and hearing as many people  as possible cheering them on . The town is buzzing and we don’t want that to stop now . So get there and enjoy the occasion and hopefully the players will make this a day to remember and you can say you were there . James’s lad Grant plays for the Under 20’s Development side although they are from up north Grant is at Oatridge college .James’s company sponsored the match at Cowdenbeath last week also . Lets hear you today and remember this is a community club and  this is as much for the community of Broxburn as it is for any individual team COME ON .

Saturday is a big day for the club and a big day for the town of Broxburn .We will be welcoming a Scottish Football League side to the Albyn Park for a 2nd Rnd replay of the William Hill Scottish Cup . We appreciate the support given the club in recent games and hope we have gave all a lift . The players certainly get a lift from the support given to them . This Saturday we will have representatives from the SFA at the game and behaviour of all is imperative .Clubs can get into serious trouble for breeches of protocol .I am sure we will have a joyous and hopefully a winning day , please endeavour to make  it an enjoyable event for all and enjoy the day .

What can we say ,what a day out in Fife a very creditable 1-1 draw at high flying second division Cowdenbeath was remarkable . If truth be told a draw was the least we deserved out the match and a big game next Saturday in the replay at the Albyn Park with a 3pm kick off . A big thanks to all that travelled today and the players commented on the lift that you all gave the side today .On behalf of the club we would also like to thank you all including the players for making a historic moment in the history of Broxburn Athletic .
