Broxburn travelled back to Fife this time for a East of Scotland Qualifying cup tie at Lochgelly Albert . With new signing Bright Okosun in the pool a cup run begins here today .
Lochgelly created the first opportunity in the opening minutes but the effort went wide left of the goal .
Chris O’Kane done well out to Lennon before crossing over but the ball went out far left for a bye kick .
Lochgelly went on a counter attack on eleven minutes and Corey Battrick headed wide left .
Long ball out the Broxburn box found Eroll Douglas clear but Reece Bevridge in the home goal done well to turn it behind for a corner .A worked corner saw Quinn Mitchell gather 20 yards out before shooting , shot was blocked then McDonald saw his shot blocked and the home defence cleared .
The opening goal came from Mathew Wallace in goals sent a long ball through where ERROL DOUGLAS beat offside before bearing down on goal and firing home from !2 yards out to put the visitors in front .
Broxburn were beginning to stamp their presence on the game and on 26 mintes a corner from Kane Thomson saw Mcdonald out jump everyone but steered his header high over the bar .. On 33 minutes Lochgelly went on counter attack and a ball in from the left was by the head of Morgaro Gomis sending it into the air and fall into Mathew Wallace hands .
At the other end two minutes later good pressure so Broxburn have two good shots blocked as the home defence stood strong . Mathew McDonald had a shot which deflected away from target for a corner on 39 minutes .

Sam Jones replaced Morgaro Gomis at the break .
On fifty minutes Chris O’Kane saw a deflected shot crash of the corner of post and bar and go behind for a corner . A few minutes later Sam Jones couldn’t believe he had not scored when striking from the left past the keeper but some how the defender got back to clear of the line .
The second goal came on 65 minutes after some pressure by Broxburn , the ball was cleared out the box but only as far as Gallagher Lennon who controlled it and laid it off to CHRISTOPHER O’KANE who looked up and struck an unstoppable shot high into top left hand corner giving Reece Beveridge no chance of stopping it .
The pattern of the game continued with the visitors playing patient football as they tried to unlock the Albert . The home side kept their discipline and restricted clear cut opportunities with Jones and Docherty failing to find the back of the net
Final score 2-0 to Broxburn Athletic . Next week we are back to Lowland league business again away from home to Dunipace With a 3-00pm kick off .
