Bo’ness United gave their supporters a late Christmas present with a win over local rivals Linlithgow Rose in the derby. The hosts took the lead with just two minutes on the clock. Adam Mason’s long ball forward is nodded on from Billy Mortimer to Shaun Brown. The ex-Broxburn winger cuts inside and slams his shot past Linlithgow keeper Cameron Binnie. United added a second on thirty-nine minutes. Adam Mason nodded on a long ball too Kieran Mitchell, who steadied himself and hit a half volley past Cameron Binnie.

Linlithgow Rose pushed for an equaliser in the second half, but the hosts stood strong defensively and managed to get over the line for a good win.

Linlithgow score the opening goal on twenty-four minutes. Connor McMullan’s high ball into the box is picked up by Ciaran Greene who takes a touch before converting his shot into the right corner.

Broxburn equalise on thirty-three minutes. Linlithgow add a second on forty-two minutes. Lucas Stenhouse takes on two Broxburn players before dinking it over Broxburn keeper Mikey Andrews and into the net. Linlithgow have a third right on half time. Ciaran Greene’s long ball forward finds Dylan Paterson, who has beaten the offside trap with just the keeper to beat, he keeps his cool and slots into the right corner.

Linlithgow Rose make it 4-0 on sixty-five minutes. A cross from Lucas Stenhouse from the left finds Alan Sneddon who scores from close range. They added a fifth two minutes later. Lucas Stenhouse picks up, drives at goal before finding the bottom left corner with a shot.
