Broxburn beat the six goals scored last week in beating The newly promoted champions of the Premier league Jeanfield Swifts 7-3 . Broxburn showed their intent after three minutes when Nicholas locke had a shot saved and as the ball looked to be going in it was cleared off the line by the recovering defender .A minute later a good ball into the box to Scott Richards saw the youngster blast over the bar .On eight minutes Richards sent Ross Nimmo through on goal but the striker’s shot went wide of the far post with Broxburn claiming a deflection which the referee and linesman disagreed on .The opener came on fourteen minutes when a corner was cleared out the box it fell to ROSS NIMMO who steadied himself and fired home through the crowded box to sore . A second followed three minutes later when good play down the right saw Richards pass into the path of NICHOLAS LOCKE who took two steps and fired into the bottom right hand corner .Just before the half hour mark Locke was fouled by the keeper in the box and KIERON ANDERSON scored from the awarded spot kick . With ten minutes of the half remaining Locke made a great run into the box and cut the ball across the six yard box to ALEXANDER MILLER who made no mistake from four yards out .On the stroke of half time an Anderson shot shaved the cross bar .
Jeanfield gave themselves hope two minutes after the restart when DANIEL KELLY shot from twenty yards out and it took a wicked deflection past the helpless Wallace . Four minutes later the four goal difference was restored when Richards was brought down two yards outside the box and central .NICHOLAS LOCKE stepped up and repeated his free kick from last week firing home a shot that left the keeper standing and helpless .This made the visitors make all their changes bringing on three substitutes .It was to no avail as Broxburn increased their lead when a great cross field through ball to Ross Nimmo saw the striker pushed from behind as he got in the box and KIERON ANDERSON scored his second penalty of the day inoff the left hand post . On 75 minutes Nimmo got another great through ball this time from Craig Scott and as the forward cut into the box he saw his shot go just over the bar .Three minutes later the visitors got another one back after Connor Wallace made a good save from Lewis Baker the ball broke to the edge of the box and player manager John Anderson who was fouled by Grant Gavin .Substitute ANTHONY HOLT scored from the spot .Jeanfield were on top as the hosts took their foot of the pedal and they got a third when a Stevie McManus free kick was saved the first to react was JOHN ANDERSON who scored easily . Jeanfield piled on the pressure as Broxburn tried to pick the game back up .With time running out Connor Wallace in the hosts goals had to be at his best with two fantastic saves to keep the visitors at bay .Broxburn then went up the other end in injury time and SCOTT McNaughton scored from a ball into the box after a good move by Nimmo and Alexander Miller .
Three penalties , ten goals and quality football on show what great value for the entry fee bring on more in the coming weeks .

A disappointing day at the Albyn Park as recent good form deserted the home side .All the goals came in the first half .On eleven minutes Craig Scott should have done better when sent through by Anderson but his weak shot was saved and the second bite at it was smothered by the keeper .Five minutes later a corner broke to the back post and Lawrie blasted just over the bar from six yards . A minute later Connor Wallace was adjudged to have brought down Young in the box and Lawrie scored from the spot kick . They doubled their lead when Brodie Gray jinked his way down the right and put a ball into the box which was met by Lawrie who scored easily .Broxburn got back into the game two minutes later when a corner played in was cleared out it was put out to Anderson on the right and his cross was met by the head of Darren Cole who fired home .
Both sides had chances to add to the scoreline but both keepers played their part in keeping the half blank .Disapointing but maybe just the kick up the A*** we need before midweek game at Linlithgow Rose .

Broxburn  ran out convincing winners beating Fauldhouse United 4-0 Anderson squandered a chance after only 3 minutes . Andrew Gilchrist tested Connor Wallace five minutes later .The same player hit the bar after 15 minutes and Broxburn broke up the park and Alexander Miller hit the post with a header but the ball broke to Michael Linton and he scored from 8 yards . Anderson was unlucky when forcing a decent save out of Jonathan Grier in the visitors goal . A minute later a Anderson free kick floated to the back post was smothered by the keeper .  Anderson and Zander missed chances to double the hosts lead before half time .

Three minutes into the second half Kieron Anderson gathered the ball 36 yards out and fired home into the roof of the net .On the hour mark Kieron was brought down running into the box and got up to score from the spot  . Four minutes later Kieron finished his hat trick and the scoring when  firing home a free kick from 25 yards out . Chances were coming thick and fast and if not for the visiting keeper it could have been a worse score for them . Still Broxburn seven goals in two games  Augurs well for the season ahead and we will need to keep the tempo up come Saturday’s home game to Dundonald Bluebell  .
