Broxburn got of to a flier when Darren Gribben got the ball and ran down the right hand side before firing a ball across towards Miller but the unfortunate NEIL HAY slid in to turn the ball into his own net . A second was quickly added in fourteen minutes this time it was from the spot after Jack Beasley was up ended in the box by the visiting keeper .DARREN GRIBBEN made no mistake from the spot for the second week in a row . Broxburn were flying and two minutes later Kieran Anderson got down the left and crossed to Alexander Miller who headed just wide .Gribben then provided a good cross into the box that was met by Nicholas Locke who saw his header got just over the bar . Locke forced a good double save from James Whyte when saving from point blank then again when Locke pounced on the loose ball . Half way through the half Zander headed just wide left from a right hand corner . . A minute later Broxburn all most gave their visitors hope when Connor Wallace attempted to clear the ball it came of Scott Moir and went just wide of the post . Just after the half hour mark Gribben set up Miller and he forced a good save from Whyte .From the corner Gordon Donaldson could not get direction on his header to trouble the keeper . Nicholas Locke made a good run and his shot was deflected and almost beat the keeper .Miller shot wide left from a good Anderson put in with six minutes of the half remaining .It was becoming frustrating for the big striker when a minute later Whyte denied him yet again with a fine save .The third goal came with two minutes left of the half when DARREN GRIBBEN dribbled his way into the box past three defender’s and fired into the bottom corner .On the stroke of half time it should have been four but the luckless Miller saw his shot at goals squirm under the keeper but he turned quickly enough to stop it going over the line and grab the ball .
Ross Nimmo on for the injured Gordon Donaldson at half time made his presence felt immediately .He went on a run down the right and he found Miller with his cross but the striker’s luck remained out when his shot was saved from point-blank ranged .Miller had another chance moments later with again Nimmo being the provider . Just after the hour mark Gribben gathered the ball on the left hand side created a chance going across the 18 yard line and fired a shot that came off the right hand post and away to safety . The ball eventually broke out to Anderson who shot wide left . With three quarter of the game gone Miller headed over the bar much to his frustrations . There was 80 minutes on the clock when Anderson got down the right hand side and his ball into miller was perfect but the striker was having a dried up time of it as he shot wide . It was a minute later though that Broxburn got their fourth .Kiearan Anderson was making a good run goal ward before being brought down just outside the box KIERAN ANDERSON took the free kick him self and fired it under the wall into the far left hand bottom corner . With five minutes remaining Nimmo put a good ball into the box and Miller tried a scissor kick that went over the bar . KIERAN ANDERSON got a fifth when sent through on goals and fired home giving the visiting keeper no chance . There was still time for one more goal and this time ALEXANDER MILLER when heading home at the back post from a Anderson put in . Nimmo could have made it seven in the dying embers of the tie but shot over the bar when Anderson put him through on goals .

Broxburn started well and Wallace ball out of goals sent Darren Gribben down the right hand side but when he put it infield towards Anderson it was just to strong for his team mate . On ten minutes it was Gribben again who got down the right and sent a ball to the back post where Alexander Miller was unmarked but the striker headed past the left hand post . Gribben was causing problems for the visitors down the right and when O’Hara dwelled on the ball he challenged him for the ball and it broke to Miller who made the keeper save . Two minutes later Miller made a good run but shot wide right of the visitors goal . Half way through the half and a Anderson corner was met by the head of Miller but it went just over the bar .The opening goal came after 32 minutes when Kennt O’Brien was allowed to run through the home defence before Michael Linton brought him down and gave away a penalty . KYLE LANDER scored in the bottom left hand corner from the spot . With 5 minutes left the action was intense and Lander saw a shot deflected for a corner . Two minutes later Nicholas Locke made a run and fired a shot destined for the roof of the net but Kieran Renton got his finger tips to it and tipped it on to the bar and it crashed down and bounced conveniently into the keeper’s arms. Down the other end of the park O’Brien saw Connor Wallace save from point blank to thwart the chance . Alexander Miller made a good opportunity for him self but Renton stopped the striker and on an other day the officials may have gave a penalty . Gordon Donaldson on a move up front saw his shot at goals blocked .
Broxburn started the second half in determined fashion and Anderson made a good run down the right before cutting inside and was brought down just outside the box central to goals . JACK BEASLEY stepped up and fired a shot goal ward and it took a wicked deflection and sailed in to the unguarded part of the net . With 56 minutes gone Alexander Miller made a good run into the box but was brought down when preparing to strike .From the spot kick DARREN GRIBBEN made no mistake to put his side in front . The game turned big time in favour of the home side on 65 minutes when Brian Murray made a coarse challenge for the ball in line with the home dug out area . He was shown a red card and the Broxburn manager Max Christie was sent from the dug out for foul and abusive language . Once the dust had settled Kieran Anderson sent in a free kick which NICHOLAS LOCKE peeled off his marker and directed his header into the corner of the net . Anderson had a good run and shot saved by Renton as the home side strived forward for more goals . Donaldson should have increased his side lead when Miller laid the ball off to him on the left hand side of the goals ten yards out he fired his unchallenged shot straight at the keeper .The fourth goal did come three minutes later mid way through the half when ALEXANDER MILLER made a strong run with the ball through the visiting defence and shrugged off all attempts to stop him before scoring in the bottom corner .Gordon Donaldson put a great ball in from the left hand side and ALEXANDER MILLER guided a slightest of header’s away from the keeper into the far corner to go nap for the home side . A minute later a bizarre misunderstanding between Beasley and his goalkeeper Wallace see the ball break to the Newtongrange forward and Craig Purves was adjudged to have fouled him in the box and they received a penalty . KYLE SCOTT stepped up to fire home and give the ten men a life line back into the game . This was short lived as two minutes later Ross Nimmo made a good run down the right and got to the bye line before cutting the ball across the box to the unmarked KIERAN ANDERSON who had the easiest of tap in’s from six yards out .Newtongrange were crumbling and it was 7-2 within a couple of minutes as Miller set up KIERAN ANDERSON who fired home to complete the scoring .There could have been more goals but for the woodwork stopping a Craig Scott effort with five minutes left Nimmo saw an effort blocked with time running down as Broxburn finished well on top . Miller had the last chance which Renton had to be at his best to save . A good performance even in the first half when going in 1-0 down .The players showed character and they must keep that going into next week’s Scottish Junior Cup tie at home to Fraserburgh Utd .

A strong wind was going to make things difficult for both sides .It was Broxburn who created the first chance when Kieran Anderson put a ball into the back of the box from the right and Alexander Miller sent a looping header just over the bar . Four minutes later Miller forced a great save from Paterson . Anderson crashed a free kick off the post on fourteen minutes . Almost 20 minutes on the clock and Christopher Gay saw a shot blocked from the home defence and cleared away to safety . A couple of minutes later the visitors had a couple of chances but failed to find the net . Craig Scott saw an effort saved just before half time .
Christopher Townsley replaced the sick Grant Gavin at half time . On 53 minutes Scott Richards saw an effort headed over his own bar by Patridge .At the other end a minute later Mathew Gay was through on goals but Dawid Paterek ,who was in goals for the hosts due to their two signed goalkeepers being away , came out and blocked his attempt and Craig Purves cleared the loose ball from the danger area . Kennoway had the strong wind at their back’s and two minutes later Paterek saved a long range effort from Liam Craig .A minute later the visitors took the lead when a long throw into the box was only cleared out to the edge of the box where Dylan Muir was unmarked and he fired home into the bottom corner through a crowded box . Half way through the second half and Jack Beasley set up Alexander Miller who some how blasted well over from six yards out with only the keeper to beat . Andrew Gillen saw his shot blocked on the line after 75 minutes . Broxburn got on level terms three minutes later when Kieran Anderson fired a spectacular free kick home from the left hand touch line into the top right hand corner .Five minutes later and the hosts were in front Alexander Miller was sent through on goal and with the keeper his only defence he fired home past him . This lead was short lived as the visitors hit back right away . A throw into the box from the left went over everyone and fell slightly behind Mathew gay who improvised by back healing the ball into the net from six yards catching everybody out . MIller , Townsley and Beasley all had chances in the dying embers of the match but could not find the net and the points were shared .

With a very poor first half derived of chances there were only three talking points .On twenty minutes Martyn Shields shot well over the bar from the right hand side of the box . Locke two minutes later sent a great cross into the box but just as the Broxburn forwards were set to pounce the Linlithgow defence stepped in to clear the danger .
The second half started well for the home side when a good ball across the box was cleared before Anderson could get on the end of it .With 51 minutes on the clock Wallace done well to get down to his bottom right hand to save from Owen Ronald . The same player two minutes later made a great run down the right and cut inside but saw his shot slide past the far left hand post .Darren Downie saw a shot saved on 55 minutes . Jeanfield started well and sent a free kick across the Broxburn box but there were no takers after 3 minutes .A good move started by Anderson out to Beasley which sent him on a run down the right he fired over a cross but was just out of reach of Miller . Jaenfield almost took the lead 4 minutes into the second half when James Yates fired in a free kick and Wallace had to look lively to turn the ball around his left hand post Christopher Scott but he fired over the bar .At the other end a Anderson ball into the box was headed over his own bar by Mackie for a corner .From the corner into the box three chances were created but the visitors defended and cleared eventually . Jeanfield had a chance a couple of minutes later but Lewis Mackie shot over the bar . Just before the half hour mark of the second half Scott Richards was sent through on the keeper but saw his attempt saved . The hosts took the lead a minute later when Anderson set up ALEXANDER MILLER who made no mistake .With 79 minutes played Richards set up Miller but the keeper saved the striker’s effort . Christopher Townsley saw a header fly just over the bar with five minutes left .
