Tranent opened the scoring on twenty-four minutes. A cross from a corner on the left by Broque Waston is pushed clear by Broxburn keeper Bob Watt, only as far as Sam Jones whose header into the area falls for Nick Aitchison who scores low into the right corner. Tranent scored again four minutes later. Euan Bauld’s long ball is misread by Sam Gormley, whose attempted clearance ends up in his own net past Bob Watt. Broxburn pull one back on thirty-two minutes. Robbie McGale’s corner on the left finds Sam Gormley whose header finds the left corner. But the hosts added a third on thirty-six minutes. A corner from Broque Watson on the left finds Euan Bauld who heads home past Bob Watt, putting Tranent 3-1 up at the half time break.
On the hour mark, Tranent added a fourth! Broque Watson’s long ball forward sees Harry Girdwood break the offside trap and is through on goal, his shot finds the bottom corner.
