Broxburn started brightly and should have had a penalty in 5 minutes when James Lennox in the hosts goal clearly brought down Gillen when attempting to score at the back post but the referee never seen nothing wrong . Gary Brass saw a shot deflect for a corner on nine minutes . A minute later good play saw a Andy Gillen have a shot that the keeper had to have two attempts to gather the ball . Gordon Donaldson saw a cracking free kick saved has he fired it in from the right with the keeper pusshing it for a corner . Half way through the half Connor Wallace was brought in to the action when Darren Ormiston was through on goal but saw his shot saved well . Dundonald were coming more into the game but it was Tait who had the only other chance of the half when shooting into the side netting after a good run . The second half started badly for Broxburn when a long throw in from the left seemed to bounce awkwardly in the box and came off ADAM MURRAY before going in to the net . On the hour mark Tait made a good run in from the left and his cross was met by the head of Donaldson but it went wide right of the target . The visitors had a great chance to equalise in 64 minutes when Wedderburn was adjudge to have handled the ball in the box and Greg Binnie took the penalty down the middle which the keeper saved and cleared from the danger area . On 73 minutes McKenzie was booked quite rightly for simulation in the box which resulted in the home coach Fotheringham being booked for his protests at the booking . Two minutes later a corner into the visitors box was me by the head unchallenged of Craig Wedderburn but he should have done better than send the ball over . The hosts doubled their lead on 76 minutes when another long throw in from the left saw the ball bounce up and LEWIS McKENZIE headed the ball up and over the keeper into the far top corner . Broxburn had one more chance when Donaldson put a good ball in for Newall but his header went wide right .
