RONNIE ALEXANDER’S FUNERAL DETAILS

Ronnie Alexander’s funeral will take place on the 5th of May at Kirkcaldy crematorium at 12.45pm .

KEYDRAW JACKPOT WON

Colin Craik c/o Broxburn  has won the jackpot which along with the weekly prize totals £1300 . Frank Greenan picked the correct key from the two left to make it a great Easter weekend for Colin . LEAGUE CUP KNOCK OUT STAGES CONFIRMED

After Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts defeat of Dundonald Bluebell in mid week 2-1 away from home they will now be Broxburn’s opponents in the knock out stage of the League cup . This game will be on Saturday the 30th of April with a 2-30pm kick off  at the Albyn Park . Hospitality will be available for this match and will be in big demand going on recent games so please book early to avoid disappointment .

RONNIE ALEXANDER .. SAM MILLER

There will be a minutes applause prior to our match at home to Blackburn United tomorrow . Ronnie was a much respected member of Broxburn Athletic and the postings on social media this week sums up the feeling the people who knew him felt about the man . He was invaluable when setting up the return to football behind closed doors with himself and his son Graeme  setting  up free streaming of matches so the supporter’s could watch the games live without any charge from the Albyn Park . Ronnie you will be sadly missed as will Sam who passed away the day before in a sad weekend for the club with the loss of two great guys . Both men will be sorely missed  . Thoughts and condolences go out to all family and friends of both men .

KEYDRAW ROLLS OVER

The Keydraw rolls over to the minimum of two keys and £1250 jackpot  after Eddie Craig c/o The Badgers won £50 but Willie Campbell who made the draw failed to pick the correct key to open the jackpot box .We thank Willie for his time .  The next draw will be live on our Facebook page on Sunday 17th of April at 5pm . FIXTURE UPDATE

We now know our remaining fixtures with dates . Saturday 16th April we are at home to Blackburn United with a 2-30pm kick off in the Premier League . Saturday the 23rd of April we are away to Dundonald Bluebell with a 2-30pm kick off in the Premier League . Tuesday the 26th of April we travel to Penicuik Athletic in the Premier league with a 7.30pm kick off . The 30th of April we are at home but awaiting our opponents in the league cup with a 2-30pm kick off .On Saturday 7th of May we travel to Newtongrange Star in the premier league with a 2-30pm kick off . Then on Saturday the 14th of May we finish our league campaign with a home game against Sauchie with a 2-30pm kick off .

RONNIE ALEXANDER

This weekend is a very sad one for everybody at the club with Sam Miller passing away yesterday the sad news has reached us that Committee member Ronnie Alexander has sadly passed away after a illness that finally took its toll . Ronnie was a proper gentleman and his presence has been and will be very much missed . Ronnie put many an hour behind the scene setting up covid measures for fans to return to the Albyn Park . Loved by all and will be sadly missed by the Broxburn family . Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends at this sad time . R.I.P. Ronnie

SAM MILLER

It is with great sadness that we have heard sad news that Sam Miller has Passed away this morning . Sam was a staunch follower of THE BURN both home and away and supported any functions or fundraisers the club had on . Sam  also turned his hand to painting the Albyn Park when we were idle with covid and put in many an hour helping spruce the place up . Sam will be sorely missed by all and the club sends out it’s condolence’s to Sam’s family and friends at this sad time . There will be a minutes applause prior to kick off at today’s home game with Dunbar United  R.I.P. Sam
