CHRIS TOWNSLEY STANDS DOWN

Broxburn Athletic can sadly announce that Chris Townsley has stepped down from his role as manager at the club. BROXBURN ATH V LIVINGSTON DEVELOPMENT

We would like to thank former players Stevie Pitman, Derek McWilliams and Gary Maley for filling in a bounce game and providing opposition with Livingston development side last night after Dunbar Utd pulled out at the last minute . Broxburn took the lead through Errol Douglas with Livingston drawing level through a penalty kick . The second half started well and a good performance through out saw us get two hat tricks through Greg Binnie and Darren Downie to finish the scoring 7-1 . A worthwhile exercise to get much needed game time after bad weather etc saw us idle the past couple of weeks . We wish the Livingston lads all the best in their development and hope to see them progress in their careers .

INVERKEITHING V BROXBURN ATH

Bitterly disappointed we did not get playing today but with standing water on the 4G surface suggested problem underneath the surface which was a danger to players . The whole 18 yard box was effected some parts worse than others . Could have been put off earlier in our opinion saving a lot of people a waste of time and expense . On behalf of Broxburn we apologise for any inconvenience this caused today and hopefully lessons have been learned going forward .
